  • There are sure a lot of demonstrations of Ramble On on Youtube but this lesson seems to be more accurate than most of the others I've watched. Clean that fretboard though dude! It's filthy! LOL

  • Got to rank this as one of the best lessons I've seen for this song....thanks, been playing for 20 years and I learned one thing I wasn't doing as well as possible.

  • very good my friend .Your guitar have a good sound.

  • nice video man. i've been trying to figure out that last part for awhile. t

  • That is an awesome video instruction! Thank you some much for that. Unfortunately I am not that good yet to do it just like it...YET!!

  • Thank you very much. I've 'known' how to play this for years but i knew wasn't doing it correctly. I decided to figure out the proper way to do it tonight and you've made that real easy. Thanks again.

  • really great....been wanting to learn this for probably 20 years....you showed it nice and straightforward and it worked....especially the chorus which for some reason always threw me off.

    so thank you!

  • 3) Federicoperale, And, of course, placing the camera as close to the guitar as possible. Something as basic as that, escapes many of the other people who make music instructional videos. To include their head or even their chest in the video, means sacrafising a close proximity to the guitar. In an in-studio lesson, it's would be like the teacher sitting 4 to 6 feet away from the student.

    Thank you, Federicoperale !

  • 2) Federicoperale, your attention to the tech-side of your video demonstrates genuine understanding of what students want & need from an instructional video. And that being; a focused camera, the right amount of light, the best possible camera angle for e a s y view of where fingers-tips make contact with which strings (and your verbal accompaniment of which chords/strings to play, as you play, I found very helpful)...

  • 1) Federicoperale, I never thought that I would ever be able to learn how to play a Led Zeppelin song; the songs sound too difficult for me. And yet, here I am doing exactly that; and it's my favorite LZ song, at that. What are the chances of that ! I'm so happy about this event that I am learning other songs that I would have thought earier, beyond my level. Certainly, your talent to pass-on knowledge has been foremost for my success ! Your attention to the tech-side of your video...

  • Sorry dude, that was terrible. Have you ever heard Ramble On? The notes are right, your timing is WAY off. Maybe take a listen to the original before posting 'lessons'.

  • Short, sharp and to the point. Will help me add this one to the song list. Thank you very much.

  • Hey this sounds like you're going back and forth from 3/4 on the E chords, to 4/4 on the A chords. Are you supposed to change time signatures like that the whole time?

  • This isn't right. This isn't uncle bens.

  • I'm done looking for a great lesson on this song. Fantastic lesson. Thanks so much.

  • Great lessons very helpful, thanks for posting it up..!!

  • glad your making more vids, been a fan since the do do do de da da da tutorial

  • This is very close and well explained. I thing there might be two guitar tracks on the album with the open E form played way up at the 12th fret and moving down toward the A, alternating with the open A form E hammer shape. Also the little bridge is easy to figure out up from an open E, etc. thanks!

  • Federico I think you should not take criticism that badly.

While this JJ-eighty should definitely avoid leaving idiotic comments like the one he wrote, he has a point when he says that the rhythm here is rather off and you may want to slow the whole thing down a bit and try to get the timing and changes right.

Having said that, there is nothing to argue about, this is just a place where we all can learn something. Thanks for posting this video.

  • Hello..Wonderful video..Well explained and close up on the fret for finger placement is a big help...Thanks :-)

  • Very good video mate :) i found it very helpful and you play it very nicely ., do not listen to halfwits like JJoneEIGHTY he/she obviously has no clue what they are talking about lol all the best keep up the good work ;D

  • @plisplis00 thanks a lot mate

  • dude you need to slow down and learn the song yourself before you try and teach it to others, youre on the right lines but you play it dreadfully, youre playing too fast and your chord changes are terrible, and theres no slide to the fist e chord either!

just practise more and use your ears!

  • @JJoneEIGHTY you are exactly the kind of person I do NOT do my videos for. why don't you (1) go see other videos elsewhere to your liking (2) provide us with links to some of your videos which I am sure are amazing and reflect your great playing style

regards and thanks for your constructive feedback

  • @JJoneEIGHTY You're a pretentious dickhead!!! It doesn't matter if the slide doesn't take place on the first E chord because it does after that....and hes the only person who's taught the slide correctly! Everyone else either completely misses the slide or teaches the wrong slide....at least he's showing the right chords, doesn't matter if he's playing it too quick, people who learn from this video should learn the rhythm themselves! Your just bitter because you probably can't play this song!!!

  • some sorta TABS pleeeeeez!

  • "He... the shining Gifted JP

  • Excellent lesson, well explained!

  • That was awesome. You helped me nail the first riff...and I got it. Now...to get started on this last part...

  • Thanks that was very cool.

  • Good job. Helped me smooth out some rough spots in the pre-chorus and the chorus. Thanks.

  • Well finally someone explains those riffs well. TY!

  • thanks brah

  • great lesson man

  • brill thanx .

  • Probably should work out what you're going to do before pressing record, no?

  • Grazie, mi hai insegnato ramble on!

  • @giniraldimos quando vuoi!

  • way too fast for a new player.

  • At last an improvable Ramblo On lesson. Thanks a lot! I hope you'll post more tutorial for zep songs.

  • niceeee!!!!!!!ty mannn

  • bel video, grazie per la spiegazione, peró per favore dai una pulita alla tastiera della Cort che ce sta la sugna sui tasti...nun se po vede ;)

ps: il Re sta al 5 tasto non al 7, etc.. :)

  • @beetlegroove

    haha hai ragione...adesso l'ho pulita!!! : ) : )

  • Well done I have seen alot of ways to play this riff I like your way the best ty!!

  • mate the E you say is on the 9th fret is actually on the 7th fret, you go by what the base note is (what you are playing with your first finger) but good video man

  • Dude! That was amazingly concise, I can now play that song accurately. Been wanting to learn that since high school :)

  • Very impressive lesson, quick and to the point. Best I've seen on this song!

I also teach and research songs for my students, saves me a lot of time.

Nice looking guitar, I'm not familiar with Cort, sounds good.

    Art

  • @wolverine7196 thank you!

  • @wolverine7196 Italiano for fret I think.

  • great lesson! quick but effective

  • Great lesson Frederico! You rock!

  • Great Job! The best easiest lesson I've ever seen on the web

  • not as hard as it looks, just takes a little time. but he is one of the few people that is actually playing it right. you can even slow it down a little and play it on an electric with some reverb on the begining and add some fuzz/distortion on the second part (the break down) and it sounds sooo tight. check out jimmy playing it on "it might get lould" to see what im talking about.

  • WoW, nice lesson, but I better come back in like 10 years, shit looks hard man.

  • @heartlandmarble This is an expert song made accessible for a beginner (Great Teacher!). There's a couple strums at the start that's played and taught slightly different but take the chord changes slow, build speed gradually, try utilizing some blank chord charts to map out the progressions/notes (improvs) and STRUM PATTERNS! If this is the 1 song you learn, all the rest will fall like dominos.

  • Toy Story on the background, yay!

  • Awsome man,i would like to hear it start to finish.Hope you can sing as good as you play.

  • Outstanding!!!! I might respectfully add viewers should also know E maj, (inverted F#min G#min7 chords on 3rd 4th and 5th strings only) ending with barred Amaj Bmaj back to open Emaj chord changes over the desending riff.

  • nice one m8 really your a good guitar player XD

best ramble on vid on youtube

  • what's great (in addition to your awesome guitar skills and your accent;) is that you really get the nuance of the song. much better than any other yt vid I've seen. thanks again

  • this is awesome!!! thank you so much teach!

  • One interpretation of the G string bend to pull off with alternating open strings I've seen went like this: Pre-bend G string at 11th fret, pick e and B strings; then pull off from 7th to 6th string on G string, pick open B string; then pull of from 6th to 4th fret G string, pick open B string; then pull off from 2nd to 1st fret G string, then pick D string at 2nd fret (E note.)

  • Nice lesson, thanks! Love those acoustic Zep parts. Interesting variations on some of the chords, etc., different from other interpretation I've seen, but nice.

  • very very good lesson, the only lesson for Ramble on on youtube that was clear and made sense. I only play for 5 months now but I could play this in 10 minutes. Good lesson, Thanks again

  • Cool! Thanks!

  • very good lesson.. although there is a prechorus that you didn't touch on

but otherwise this is reaaaally awesome..

I've been playing this song in a different way..

but from now on I'll try to play it like you do, much more elegant than my version :)

    cheers mate

  • Nice lesson, is that a tanglewood?

  • @dealer205

it's a Cort Jumbo (I bought it 13 yrs ago)
