  • I am proud to know Colonel Bristol and have trained with him back when he was a Captain of Marines. I also trust him implicitly, so when he praises a National Guard Unit, I cannot help but be impressed with them. Bravo Zulu, Guardsmen! Well done!

  • thank you for serving the blood bath of fallujah

  • can i join if i get a sex change

  • @sfordgg no, but seriously you cannot because that surgery might effect your health and IF they allow it, marines will give you HELL once they find out

  • AURGAA!!!!

  • the kind of man I would follow

  • i would be honored to be killed by this man

  • I was a member of B co in Fallujah. Normally Marines don't command soldiers, but ours was a special case. We were a detached company given to MHG to fulfil guard duty roles on Camp Fallujah, which Col Bristol alludes to in his interview here. We were attached to the Marines and Bristol attached individual marines to us, so it was a very unique working relationship. My team consisted of 2 marines and 4 soldiers. We jokingly started refering to ourselves as a Marmy unit.

  • It was actually a great working relationship..and we became very good outside the wire, to the point where we ended up getting relieved from guard duty and got to focus entirely on combat operations..and Bristol was great to work for. By far the best commander I've ever had the pleasure of working with. Whether it was time for killing or compassion or anything inbetween he was always right there with us, scooting around the battlefield with his shotgun or M-79. Great man.

  • When we got caught in the surge and extended for another 5 months, 1st MEF was getting ready to cycle out. Every Marine attached to us, to a man, personally volunteered to stay in Iraq as long as they could stay with us until we got to go home. I think that is very telling about the quality of the Marines and Soldiers in the company as well as the depth of respect we all had for eachother. No matter where we go in the military after that we'll always be "Bristol's Bastards".

  • I didnt know marines command soldiers

  • @ridenhour1 and vice versa.

  • That's my dad in that video. =D

  • sweet even the marines like our guardsmen. kinda feels good. lol

  • Semper Fidelis.
