  • You were ready; that saved your bacon as much as the ABS did. Good technology + good skill helps to overcome the idiot cager.

  • Well saved ;-)

  • Some car drivers don't give bikes respect, I had one woman on the school run look me in the eye as she pulled out in front of me even though I had lights on hi-vis vest on & I used my horn. She had seen me but still pulled out.

  • You used your horn quick but that didnt make a difference!!!

  • @2wheelsteve it was as if the driver heard the horn but couldnt care where from so quickly moved off.

  • ABS power

  • Its just a fact that on a bike, you have to ride as if no one can see you. I read all these comments about the traffic laws and what cars should do when...well at least half the people on the roads at any given time are drug/alcohol impaired, the rest retarded, so you just have to ride that way there is no guaranteed safety.

  • i have this happen to me in my trucks, so no surprise it happens to a bike. good save

  • what a prick. i got a Yamaha yzfr 125 and i must say the brakes on it are brilliant. had a few close calls in my 2 years of riding.

  • I think in that situation i'd have used the 1300ccs at your disposal rather than the brakes... drop a gear, gun it, get out of that lane. I'll go around someone 5x as often as i'll hit the brakes... Never know when there's a car following too damned close behind you or, like the one in front of you, not paying attention.

  • @tonythephatone and if the car saw the bike coming at him in the righthand lane and gunned it into the left lane??? Then ur fucked, so that is a dumb idea sorry.

  • 250r is perfect why is everyone putting it down what you got small dick syndrome and are afraid to ride a small bike with the way gas is fuck 600 fuck 650 fuck 500 and everything in between 250r gets 77 mpg don't quote me. to were as the 600 get like 55 ya i would rather have 77 than 55 plus i don't have to show off and drive like a fuck tard and pretend i have a big dick by riding a fast bike. like those guys that have huge fucking trucks but never get em dirty.

  • @trigun890 the 250 is fucking boring to ride. Can't have anywhere near the same fun on a 250 as u can with a bigger bike. So fuck ur 77mpg and fuck ur 250, lol.

  • top speed on my 250r is 110 and i have gone all the way up to 105 with an empty freeway and can easily outrun most of the cars safely, but really, hi viz does make me annoyingly visible at day and night so people are "forced" to see me. like driving with high beam 24 hours, hi viz does sound like a good option along health insurance, works with all the people who can see regular. except old folks probably. so instead of complaining about people not seeing you, wear fucking HI VIZ something.

  • Hi-viz is for queers.

  • that is the problem with all of you dudes not wearing any kind of hi viz items. i drive a green ninja 250r, full gear with hi viz green neon stripes and ICON hi viz helmet. never had a close call and i ride about 500 miles per week , 3 days of those 5o miles to school and 50 miles back. WEAR HI FUCKING VIZ GEAR.

  • @luisloks Calm down buddy lol whats the top speed of that 250r? lol cant really get into much trouble on one of those like the rest of us "dudes" that ride real bikes, even my girlfriend said that the 250 was too much of a bitch for her to ride. Tho i do like all of ICON's gear, hi-viz isnt for everyone. some people just dont pay attention, especially for motorcycles. i had to ride the sidewalk to avoid a t bone and i drive an orange CBR600 with an orange helmet. Culpret: really old lady!

  • w.t.f ? I also ride and you must always keep your eye out for stupid driver's! good job, looks that bike stops on a dime nice.

  • are u fucking kidding me? ur supposed to speed up and kicked their car! at the very least show them your appreciation

  • What a dumb fucking idiot the car driver is.

  • Ur a really nice guy, I would have sped up and kicked his side mirror off

  • I also have a FJR 1300 and i´m thankful for the good breaks (no ABS). They have saved me a couple of times.. I noticed there was no other option for you than straight breaking since you had traffic on the left side. Drive safely my Yamaha friend :-)

  • Your nicer than me, I would have caught up to that car and taken the mirrors!

  • This is why I always stay left unless I'm turning at the next intersection, and flick my high beams on if I think an area looks sketchy. Too many people not paying attention.

  • oh

i know what his problem is

HE'S DRIVING A FUCKING BUICK LESABRE!!!!

  • You acted calm when that happened. If that had been be id have stopped in front of him and gave him a few well picked words!

  • WHAT A JACK ASS!!!! DID YOU CALL THE POLICE ON THEM AND SHOW THEM THE TAPE? THEY NEED TO TAKE THAT GUYS DRIVERS LIC AWAY!!!

  • You should never be riding in the right lane unless you are going to turn at the next street... you are just asking for this to happen otherwise...

  • @TheSentinelGuardian This is actually true... you should always be in the left lane, but the dangers are still the same... when you have on coming traffic turning right... :(

The only solution is to do what this rider did.. and pay attention! You have to ride like your invisible!

  • I would have defecated in my hand and wiped it on his window.

  • i woulda chased that guy down

  • Nice bike!

  • I hate such fucking dump asses!

  • How did you avoid passing him afterwards, smacking off his mirror in the process?

  • What a fucking joke. People that can't even yield to traffic should not be given a driver's license.

  • FUCKING BASTARD !!!IF someone did this to me i would take rocks from the road and throw to him and run away

  • Definitely would've caught up to the guy and broke AT LEAST his rear window. But this really shows the danger of riding in that lane. They used to beat it into our heads in the MSF course that if you have no need to turn right within a few miles, you should be as far left as physically possible. Great breaks, and great paying attention though.

  • @clcoc20s brakes*

  • The driver just played dumb! Great stopping power you have on your bike sir..

  • 2 words...WOLO Airhorn... does wonders. well worth the money

  • Did u horn first and then brake? Next time brake first :)

  • I would have gotten in front of them and slowed down to a crawl, just to piss them off.

  • dang, I would have layed on horn but then again your on a motorcycle so I dont know how it is to drive and have close calls! that car was an idiot! nice reaction and capture!

  • SMIDSY!

  • Thats a handfull of brakes for ya! Nice Avoid!

  • OMG... WTF... I woulda zoomed up to that car and punch the drivers glass in..

That was SCARY as shit. man

  • Inglês: If the rider was on speed compatible (equal to the greater of cars) and the left, this scare would not have happened 50 miles speed is 125! Awake! It seems someone I know!

Português: Se o motociclista estivesse em velocidade compatível (maior igual à dos carros) e na esquerda, este susto não teria acontecido, 50 milhas é velocidade de 125! Acorda!!! Até parece alguém que eu conheço!!!

  • I had the same thing on my fireblade, the old boy said you "you were speeding " to which i replied o yea speeding was i?, so you must have seen me then?. He had no answer to that!!

  • good job on defensive driving

  • I'm astonished at how you kept your cool... I would have sped up at given him a piece of my mind.

  • woah... You are really attentive on the road.. If I were you i would probably lose my bacon haha. You wore sunglasses?

  • Why I wish bikes came with proper airhorns, trainhorns, that kind of loudness. Why I am glad my bike is red and loud as it is....TOO many bad drivers on the roads....

  • what an asshole

  • I would have given chase - he knew he was in trouble and gunned off!

  • makes me want to unload my gun into his rear windshield...motherfucker

  • That happened to me once.. I caught up to the car and kicked the fucking mirror off the car.

  • fucking ass

  • u should kick his mirror

  • u should kich his mirror

  • I lost a friend two weeks ago to a situation just like that.

  • Right foot up and *BANG*...there goes his outside mirror!

  • ok.....! if u caught them a got in a road rage thing with them,,,, what not to say they wouldnt back over you and keep going?....on a bike you will lose! that why skill is so important , and gear !! ..... if your a 100% right you still can lose! ....................thanks ride safe!

  • catch him or her and fuck them throe all holes, it takes out the stress..

  • a good kicking will make him think before he pulls out next time

  • I admire your composure here,in similar circumstances i cant help but chase and let the driver know how angry i am,by erm, various means.I know its not sensible but these lethal drivers need something to make incidents like this stick in their mind, hopefully waking them up to the dangers they cause for future bikes.

  • Why are you even in the right lane if your cruising?

  • Maybe there was a woman driving... fucking bastard!!!

  • good riding!

  • Seriously, that driver needed some communication after the fact. If you brought that video to the law enforcement agency in that jurisdiction, they may have issued her a ticket based upon the evidence of the video and your statement.

  • Comment removed

  • happens like twice a week to me here in milwaukee Oddly only on the way TO work not from or just out riding !!

  • Lucky your reaction speeds and those brakes are great. Shame there are people on the roads clearly paying no attention as that is a really nice bike and would suck to get it damaged by morons on the road

  • Yeah... In Russia nobody even wouldn't notice it =)))

There was about 2 - 2.5 meters between cars and you could take a left a little with no braking at all...

Absence of culture at our roads forces us to drive harder...

  • A fucking bastard! Did you chase him and burn him alive? I recently got t-boned by a metermaid and ended up with fractures and bike getting totaled...

  • @manudath A METERMAID????? I hope you're recovering okay. I bet that didn't look good for the metermaid.

  • @sgtpepper1138

well i heard that her stupid vehicle got toppled over because of the impact. After 9 months, I still cant run, but other than that, I'm mostly recovered.

  • @manudath metermaid? you in court over that shit I hope... I'm not the type to sue and probably never will but I get nailed by a fucking ups truck or meter maid or something like that on my bike, better believe I'm getting paid...

  • omg obeying all the laws & almost destroyed. That's so not fair. That goes through my mind @ every intersection

  • Ugh... Time to perform a Mirrorectomy!

  • man, you almost bought it. Damn Cagers...

  • abs. works on fine gravel?

  • Damn bastard. And even if you honk at him he simply doesn't care and continues forward. Those people should be sitting on the sofa at home and never sit on a car again.

  • Great lookin' bike!

Way to anticipate some fuck on the side street not seeing you. That is the best advice my friend (who I bought my scooter from) gave me.

  • Nicely done mate!

  • damn.. how long have you been riding?

  • Great riding mate, abs must be great to have, 5+ for your cool riding

  • when you slowed down and beeped at him, he probably thought you were letting him in- some people are just dumb

  • Well reacted.

Bet you felt like kicking his door in though!

  • Assholes!

  • Excellent braking and awareness.

Glad that no one rear ended you either!

  • nice reaction!!

  • Nicely done.. No panic.. just reaction to morons. Good to see.

  • Just as well you were prepared ! Well Done

  • Wow
