As dominant as Ronaldo was, in my humble opinion, i would take henry for the reasons you have stated above. I think Henry was the more complete player of the two. And yes i do feel that Henry was unlucky at many stages of his career. Henry was also the most consistent of the two in terms of physical shape and top form on the field. That is why he had a longer prime stage than Ronaldo in my opinion.

I think its more to do with the World Player of The Year usually goes to someone who has won the league in their domestic season as well as winning the Champions League and/or World Cup in the same year. I wouldn't go as far to say he was the best striker of all time but he was one of the best of his generation. That World Cup record is fantastic and not to be scoffed at but Gerd Muller did in, in less games and aganist better defences.
