how do i make my message tone last for longer ?

i have a HTC sensation/ it sounds normal in the app then every song i set as text tone its cut off or if its only 5 sec long then itll play like 1 sec

it's called Ringdroid and you can get it in the market. Excellent app! It uses the music from your sd card.

Ok, I have two questions, maybe you can answer them. Thanks for this, btw.

1. Can you tell me why the mp3's I set for individual contacts don't play all the time? They will play every now and then, but mostly it just uses the default. I go through all the trouble of uploading someone else's song and using what I want from it, least this phone can do is play it.

and...

2. Is there a way to delete tones/mp3's from the notification section? Or is the reset the only way to do it?

hey ive got ringroid and it worked for me but an easier way to change your sms tone is download panda home. its an app for your themes but i worked out that when you go to settings> sound and display> notification ringtone it gives the option of letting you go to your normal android system tone or your own music

ringdroid is the free app. u can use the songs from your sd card to make the ringtones. one of the best apps out there
