  • This video never gets old..

  • Is that the elevator that the fat man rode in your other video??

  • @magicelevator If you're referring to dieselducy, then yes.

  • Its good

  • Thank you for participating in my Elevator Filming / Enthusiast Poll (not Pole). I just viewed your video of your first elevator. It looks like I viewed it shortly after it was posted. BTW, hydraulic elevators pre-date traction elevators but they were not considered safe for people to use but only freight in their original incarnation. I think hydraulics began making a comeback after the traction elevator was invented and made safe with the invention of the emergency breaks.

  • You could always take the stairs. They work every time.

  • @alpha18412 User georgef551 has a broken "man powered" elevator video. (stairs)

  • @jimster586 I believe the late great comedian/philosopher Mitch Hedburg said: "An escalator can never be broken, it can only become stairs".

  • I rode on this once, I live in Rochester toooo

  • I did not think hydraulic elevators were around back in the 30's.

  • I didn't think so either. I'm guessing that it was a traction, or something else originally. The cab itself is that old, but I'm not sure about some of the other parts.

  • hydrualics were around early 50's
