The general creationist response when anyone brings up something they don't have an answer for is "The Lord works in mysterious ways". Although, I don't know why I expected anything more, when any given creationist argument can be boiled down to "A wizard done it, and if you question this at all the wizard will send you to Hell."
not really, its not debatable. Its not debatable at all you say cause and effect as your rationalization ok what cause made the universe? Its not really BS either, its more or less we just hope you aren't ignorant enough to believe your small minded ideas. what good does proving no God really have? All you will be doing is wasting your life when you could actually be helping someone rather than spewing your uneducated garbage.
we actually know what caused the big bang, (the singularity gets to a point where it has too much matter and energy that it eventually explodes sending matter away from and original point creating time and a universe in expansion) every thing that happened after that was chaos of elements and energy every where.
Excepted for you.
Your body is not chaos, your planet has the right elements is calibrated far from the radiation of the milkyway's center, on lovely distant from the sun...
Albert Einstein asked a question that I think about often. To me it has become somewhat of a Koan. (In ZEN a Koan is a question asked of a student that, through contemplation of it, will bring the student to a greater awareness of reality. Sometimes a Koan is a question of complete nonsense. The Question Einstein asked: "If God did not exist, would man find it necessary to invent Him?" Do you think this is what happened long ago?
The next theist who makes the "god exists outside of space and time argument," I swear I'll shoot. Listen if your god exists outside of space in time, there's no way to observe or measure his existence. His existence is thus useless.
One can easily see the religious fantasies are difficult to support with explanations. That is why religious apologists use the method of assumption of the negative. So if we assumed that live originated spontaneously and we cannot explain how it happened then it is not true; hence the truth is god created life. This method is used by the apologists for every issue we have with our body of knowledge and it seams OK because the method is a good method if we have two possible outcomes only.
Do not give me this crap – god created the universe out of nothing because it is B.S. If there was nothing before the universe was created then god was not there either. Nothing means there is no god as well. If god existed and there was source-matter for him to make the universe then who made that matter. If there was nothing else but god then god could make the universe out of himself. But we know god is not material then he must have turned himself into material one – does not make sense.
@DrNikol2007 Albert Einstein said, that matter and energy where related, the atomic bomb along with others experiments proof him right. People that didn't not know this relation wrote thousands of years ago about a God that was the source of ALL energy (yup you can create matter out of energy)
@DrNikol2007 God is interconnected to all THINGS. Look up has science found God. God is everywhere at once that explains him raising himself from the dead etc. You have much to learn young grasshopper
@1xThreeDaysGrace1x While you are young, god is in your pants. When you grow old god will be in you head; so, whate a bit your young yet to get it. Strike you guitar and sing obout love this is what you can do well.
Things we can see do not come to existence. Actually there are new forms of already existing matter. Let us take as an example the notorious case of a watch. A watch maker is not a creator – he is watch manufacturer. He took existing in the nature metals, combined them into new alloys and processed those to make a watch. If we are to use this analogy shoved in our throats by the religious apologists, we must ask the question out of what the creator made the universe.
We would be able to able to measure time as we do it for the three dimensions of the space. With time we cannot do it… because it does not exist it is an abstract category used in physics. If there was no time there won’t be sequence of events – neither CnE relationship. Everithing is happening now and the events are mutually interacting transformations. We have clocks but we do not measure time we actually count intervals of ‘time.’ 60 seconds are 1 minute, 60 minutes are 1 hour, etc.
Dear young lady, there is no cause and effect (CnE) relationship in the universe we live in. In order to prove there is CnE between two evens a necessary condition is the event-cause to precede the even-effect, i.e. cause must start acting earlier then the event-effect. This requires time to exist in our universe. But is it so - not really? If time existed we would be four dimensional creatures and would be able to travel in time as we can travel in other tree dimensions of the space.
Logic.... I could not figure out what "Did creation create itself" mean either. It's an illogical wordplay asking if a process was responsible for it's own being as evidenced by the -tion suffix. Creation can't create itself anymore than constipation can constipate itself. There is a causal relationship but you can't substitute the process for the cause. Not if you want to have a logical conversation at any rate.
We don't know what caused the Big Bang. Our ancestors didn't know what caused thunderstorms, so they invented Thor and Zeus. They were wrong. Since then science has been like a lathe, paring down our view of the universe by chipping away more and more superstitious beliefs. This will continue.
2/2 Please proof the contrary of my affirmation. I dare to you that proof the opposite I am talking. The God exist, at least what I design or assign to this term or word. All depends what you undestand the word you are trying to discusse.
1/2 Depends what you undestand of the meaning of the word God. For me I unsdestand God is the same that the Infinity in time and space. Then God allways had exist and without limits. Because he is infinity you may not proof in the laboratory, cause he is not finite, the scientific method will not works. Is a Phylosophy problem rather than scientific. The infinity you will never analize like a quark. The infinity is my God, my creator and he will last forever. Without beinning neither end.
@MegaPhylum "the scientific method will not works" How epicly convenient.....every other thing in everyones life requires proof or it is discounted as myth except god.
its better to believe in A LIVING GOD then to believe we came from absolutley nothing .figure it out,you seem fairly smart,What you need to do is look at the impossibility of the big bang, evolution, random creation,,it just is not mathematically possible, the laws of physics don't allow it and its just common sense, that something cannot come from nothing.I really hope you find God before prophecy is full filled, its happening right in front of you.Now you can laugh and call me some name,God Bless!
I'm an agnostic, but even i'll say your a total bitch. There's a way to disprove the existence of god without being a total douchebag like all of you atheists are, you do it in such a harsh way because you have no morals. You have no morals because you believe it does not matter what way you act, because there are no consequences for your actions. Regardless if there's no consequences, no one like's a bitch. I have yet to meet an atheist that has any morals at all.
Do you know that your reactions are predicted in the Bible? In the end times there will be scoffers and mockers of God. They will profess themselves wise, only to remain fools and the fool says in their heart there is no God. Doesen't that sound like today?Do you REALLY think you are no more than just an educated monkey? Or are we wonderfully and fearfully created by a powerful sentient being? Could it be that by saying no to him,you are saying YES to satan? No Hell? Are you sure? May God Bless
Why is Sammy worried about the 3 minutes of his life he wasted when he has all of eternity left. He is a better proof that god doesn't exist, if he did he would have fixed that wondering eye of his just for being such a devout believer 8^).
CORRECTION Popler said that theories must be DISPROVABLE. That's what he spent a lifetime advocating. He sited Freud as not being up to scientific snuff, because his theories were not DISPROVABLE. He sited any number of others, let's say Einstein, whose theories are disprovable. If a clock fails to lose time when it is accelerated, then Einstein is wrong. This cannot be done with any of Freuds assertions.
Careful girl! Do not equate the beginnign with the Big Bang. No ones claims that to be so. We might have to wrestle with something much more difficult, the concept of eternity. Also, do not reduce the complexity of all existence to the laws of physics. That's intellectual arrogance, and I'm sure you don't mean to be that. Presently it doesn't seem that we have the necessary faculties to come near to understanding what's what within existence. The god thing is a futile shortcut to ease the pain.
there is no evidence for a big bang and there is ample evidence that it couldnt have occurred and produced the universe ie. the law of entropy. all u atheists will have eternity of regret for the foolish choices tht you now seem to enjoy.
@j919or You dont even know what the law of entropy is, so please stop mumbling until you are at least minimal informed.
Of course there is no evidence of the big bang, no one ever even claimed that. The big bang is just a scenario which is most plausible considering the knowledge we currently have. Guess what, the evil scientists keep changing details regarding the BB, not to confuse you religious nuts (this would be fun, tho), no, they keep learning and evolving. :)
@TiKallisti ANd they will never know bc evolution is not science but historical reconstruction. The BB is not plausible for there are several problems with it, that science ignores bc they have nothing else to explain origins. Same with evolution. They have nothing else and so they ignbore the HUGE problems with it. the law of entropy states that all is moving towards disorder. Entropy is the current level of disorder and without intelligent life to reverse it entropy increases.
@TiKallisti Im saying that you make a wild accusation like I dont know the law of entropy, I answer that and then u r silent. Continue the argument. The law of entropy contradicts any big bang or any evolution. Oh you fools would hardily accept some remote proof that aliens did it,,,,, but never God.
You will never win this arguement....neither side will ever win. Ultimately, it is your choice to have faith or believe there is no need for faith. I say let people believe what they want to believe.People on both sides of this arguement can be really pushy. It's the pushy people we have to stand up to, not each other.
@sissum71 The problem is, between logic and faith, both have consequences. Choosing logic, for instance lacks the euphoria of meditation/prayer/etc., and the warm blanket feeling of life after death. Choosing faith has high consequences, right or wrong. The mere population of said faith gives it's leaders and public figures a great deal of power, which if you know your history, is almost always corrupted.
Here's the problem with your naive view. Atheism is a response to theism and religion, not the other way around. There is no large and concerted movement against astrology. Why; because astrologers don’t force women to wear full body sheets because they’re afraid of the tingly feelings that get when they look at them. Astrologers don’t try to teach our kids that the world is 6000 years old and was made in 6 days. [cont]
[cont] Astrologers don’t tell poor Africans that condoms spread AIDS. Astrologers’ leaders don’t shield pedophile members from prosecution.
If the argument where just about who is right or wrong then yes, it would seem very puerile, but it goes beyond who’s right and who’s wrong. Religion does measurable harm to society, and the fact that countries with fewer religious believers tend to have [cont]
[cont] markedly improved societal health demonstrates this. ‘Pushy’ people are not the problem; we need ‘pushy’ people. Assertive people make the world go around.
What we don’t need a passive people who will ignore the actual problem in favour of the ostrich method. Pretending there is no problem doesn’t make the problem go away. And if you’re ignorant of the problems cause by religion, I suggest you pull your head out of the sand and have a look around.
who created god if he created himself or he as always existed this means that it is possible that the universe created itself or as always existed disprove that
@throughhighsandlows Einstein was a deist who believed that something created the universe and then stepped back, allowing its events to unfold with no "divine" intervention (so definitely not the Judeo-Christian God).
Your argument is a complete non sequitur. Just because Einstein was brilliant and believed there was a higher power provides absolutely NO PROOF that a higher power exists.
Atheists do not need to "disprove" something that there is no evidence for! That is simply ridiculous.
the biblical texts of your god is full of holes come on the Catholics compiled the
bible in fourth century the most corrupt religion ,gospels were written 80 years after Christ death by unknown authors the where not eye witnesses they sadly were
only inspire by Jesus this bible is the backbone of your gods existence and beliefs.
you're hot. bad thing is, you're kinda idiotic as well. Look, Albert Einstein himself, one of the most brilliant men that ever lived, one of the founders of Science which you use to disprove God, BELIEVED that God exists. Do you atheists say you're smarter than him? So theoretically speaking, your arguments don't stand a point since there's very high probability you're wrong.
(From 'This is the Truth' [video]). Also he said, "Somebody who did not know something about nuclear physics fourteen hundred years ago could not, I think, be in a position to find out from his own mind, for instance, that the earth and the heavens had the same origin."
Professor Alfred Kroner is one of the world's well-known geologists. He is a Professor of the Department of Geosciences, University of Mainz, Mainz, Germany. He said, "Thinking where Muhammad came from .. I think it is almost impossible that he could have known about things like the common origin of the universe, because scientists have only found out within the last few years with very complicated and advance technological methods that this is the case (continued)
Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same 'smoke' we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity. Then out of this homogeneous 'smoke', they formed and separated from each other. God said in the Quran: Have not those who disbelieved known that the heavens and the earth were one connected entity, then We separated them?.. [Noble Quran 21:30]
The science of modern cosmology, observational and theoretical, clearly indicates that, at one point in time, the whole universe was nothing but a cloud of 'smoke' (i.e. an opaque highly dense and hot gaseous composition). This is one of the undisputed principles of standard modern cosmology. Scientists now can observe new stars forming out of the remnants of that 'smoke'. The illuminating stars we see at night were, just as was the whole universe, in that 'smoke' material. (continued)
' Can i be the author of my being?Or can I conserve my self at the present time? if this would be the case, then the idea of a perfect substance would be caused by my own mind, in order for this to be I should have to be God Himself. As this I am clearly Not,infinity is before finitude
Rene dekart,1 of the most influence modern speakers of his time led to believe in god threw Doubt, he doubted that there is god, but doubt meant to him that he thinks, witch in turn meant he exists, witch therefore meant he was created, and since he did not create him self, therefore some one else must have created him, and that 1 should be the source of life,'
lol things coming into existence by natural processes.....yea then please explain to me how those natural processes got there then hm? Why do you atheists love to miss the whole point SOMETHING DOESNT COME FROM NOTHING. If that was the case then the conditions that apply to "nothing caused the universe" would still be applied therfore making new "somethings" and or "universes" and its impossible to have an infinite number of things.
Yo this girl is a whore I picked her up one day walking home from her burger king job and she wanted to get laid I gave her $30 and I gotta admit it wasnt to bad.
"what caused the big bang?" The collision of parallel universes in a 11 dimensional multi-verse. The notion of god is absurd. it violates the laws of physics. btw i agree with you. To theists: go read Stephen Hawking's book the grand design and the god delusion by Richard Dawkins.
Yea and Dawkins is a joke who refuses to debate William lane craig cause he would get his sorry ass kicked in. Multiverse is purely conjecture and has no grounds in scientific evidence
@Naelzek Actually the multi-verse theory does have its ground in scientific evidence. A lot of physicists have studied how inflation behaves and the only theory they have so far is the multi-verse theory which makes sense because there must be an external force causing this accelerated expansion of the universe. Quantum Mechanics only explains the energy and the first cosmic inflation. The inflation we are experiencing now is outside the domain of energy swelling up within our vacuum of space.
@Naelzek dawkins is a teacher not a professional debater, also dawking is a professional on evolution ,not the origins of the universe. his other beliefs are based on scientific discoveries from other professionals.PS, THEY HAVE DEBATED!
''Multiverse is purely conjecture and has no grounds in scientific evidence''
so is creationism!
you need to learn that creationism's whole argument is an argument from ignorance.
we dont claim to KNOW everything, but GOD IS NOT THE DEFAULT FOR THE UNKNOWN!!
thats a poor argument.."hes not a professional debater" very very weak right there. Wrong if he had some balls then he would debate craig but he cant put forth any argument that craig hasent already shot down.
And when did i say im a creationist? Actually im a theistic evolutionist. There was no pre-existing conditions for the big bang because God (God always was) is the pre existing condition that started the whole processes and set in motion what we know now.
@Naelzek did you just choose to ignore the fact that they have already had a debate? You are babbling away for no reason, also if you are a theistic evolutionist then why are you bothered? Evolution is what Dawkins is a professional at, nothing else. I don't understand your point here, he is an evolution specialist and you are for evolution, and they have already had the debate you boasting he's scared of. So what are you talking about? Whats your point exactly??
@Naelzek thats simply an argument from ignorance. you dont know what caused it so you assert that it is god, plus 'everything must have a cause' means that god had a cause , so something created god. also for something to exist before time and outside our universe is for something not to exist at all. so god rather does not exist or he had a cause. its simple, everything else you imply is just an assertion from an argument from ignorance.
Dear At 1:47 you said " Big Bang"? Stephen Hawking just admitted he no longer believes in the Big bang theory. There were too many fundamental problems with the Big Bang to have actually happened. He now believes in what he calls the "Bubble theory". Just wanted to give you a heads up. Scientists really cant use that theory any more. Peace.
I guarentee u this. After u die, u will believe in God. I bet everything on it. But then it will be too late. You will confront God. You will think back at this moment. Did you know you are created in the image of God? Humans are one of God's greatest creation yet many deny him. You dont see wind but you know its there. Devil want u not to believe. Though he knows God is real and attacks God's creation that he loves. Open your heart and see hes real. Bible is a letter from God to us. Dont reply.
@MisterRoykyn you just lost the biggest bet of ur life. no one can prove what happens when you die.that is fact. just b/c some delusional attention seeking men out there say that they saw god in their near death experience does not mean it's true. when you die. everything "shuts down" nothing else to it. here's another fact. your precious bible was written 100s of yrs after jesus died.hve u ever played the chinese whispers?the final message is far different from the original one. think about it
@MisterRoykyn How can you be so sure about life after death..because of all the stories you heard? Because it has to be? Because your bible says so? You dont see the wind, but you FEEL the wind on your skin thanks to the NERVES inside your skin, it also makes your hair go fuzzy x] And with your God, you have this so-called ''Feeling'', Are you actually basing God on these shitfacts?
@codyjohn1551 There are people who actually died and came back in their bodies. There are tons of books about it from real people who actually died and they explain what they saw. So there is life after death. Dont believe it just wait til you die man, simple as that. Its reality, not just biblic and from God. Do some research cuz im only 1 person in billions who know this already. God is real. Dont worry you'll see pretty soon. Jesus is coming back. And every knee will bow. Peace. dont reply.
@MisterRoykyn Your a sad man, because other people say it aswell it must be real right? Did you know that in the early 50's there was a radiostory called ''war of the worlds''? Did you know everybody believed it? Because since its on the radio, it has to be real right? Tsk, for starters, l believe in technology, scientists who unlock the key to eternal life, Ergo: l will not die, l have no intention to, second, if jesus is coming back, l rather die than kneel for him. Your sick in the head.
@codyjohn1551 im not a sad man, im a happy man. Jesus is coming really soon man I bet anything and everything on it. Im just giving you a heads up cuz i care about you. Dont say i didnt warn you. As crazy as it sounds and sick in the head you think i am, you'll see i was right. I'd say, give it about 3 months from now. I challenge you. Reply to me after about 3 months from now. Til then either keep doing what ur doing, or you can go find out about your God whos coming back for you so be ready!
It is amasing (apart from my bad spelling) how many people in a terminaly ill ward in a hospital, turn to God just before they die regardless of previous beliefs
about your point on creation, based on what you say in this video, I think you're missing something important...
It seems like you agree on the big bang theory. Well based on the 'nature' of nature, matter cannot create itself from nothing. So if you say we cannot, or at least should not point to the Divine for an answer, then what would you point at? It has to be something that supersedes nature, then, but then, wouldn't that take faith to believe in?
The correct answer to the question is..... pause for effect..... "I don't know". "I don't know" does NOT require any faith whatsoever. If you say anything beyond this you are only deceiving yourself, thinking that you have knowledge that you don't really have. The great unknown does not point to the divine. Proposing a deity for explaining the unknown is "God of the Gaps" reasoning. It is a logical fallacy.
@craigblack1234 i.e. you would rather be indifferent to the whole concept of God and the unknown. The thing is, because there is such an unknown thing as death, being indifferent is logical fallacy. You must at some point have faith that either nothing is going to happen or something infinitely important is going to happen. We cannot at any point ignore the possibilities and still call ourselves rational. I have very good reason to believe in God. What do you really believe or want to believe?
@mukeh111 No, the 'nature' of nature, as you say it, is that matter -cannot- be created -at all-. (Or more specifically energy) The fact that matter irrefutably exists in some form however implies that this 'fact' (i.e. the law of conservation of energy) is either false or has exceptions. It does -not- imply anything divine.
@Artwich I do believe there is a difference between using our own efforts in explaining existence while never being able to get answers, and having faith while being open to using science to learn more about what is in our reach. Personally, I see God as being the most logical ultimate answer and gives our being an actual point for existence. I'd urge anyone to not limit themselves to science for answers since it literally can't solve everything, but to have faith in God as we are meant to.
@mukeh111 If you believe that God is the most logical explanation, then who am I to oppose that? Note however that the argument here is precisely all theories on such a meta-level are unfalsifiable, so you are effectively supporting the argument, but observing the result from a different position.
@Artwich I'd like to also point out that I do not just believe in God from my perception of scientific or philosophical reason. I don't know if you have thought deeply about the implication of there really being a God that relentlessly wants you for a fervent love relationship between Creator and the created. I see God acting in my life everyday. I literally rely on Him in situations and things always turn out better than expected. The Doctor only goes to the patient. Please give God a chance.
Dam sami you got her really flustered . What did he say? Anyhow...glad you brought up cause and effect after you stated you don't think the universe was created. Both sides of the argument are the same no proof just theories. This was a waste of time just like sami's video. Can anyone stick with the title.Getting tired of being lied to...
I was trying to show a pattern withing the text...The first grandson of Noah named was Gomer..The bible places Gomer in the area of France and spain..Flavious Josepheus records that the Gauls were previously called the Gomerites...The Welsh have a traditional belief that they landed on brittian from france 350 yrs after the flood..The Welsh historian records that the Welsh language is called "Gomerag"..after thier decendant gomer. The book sure names names. "Seek and you shall find" or not.
The first two books of the Torah spell Torah at fifty letter intervals..Every fifty letters backwards from the last two spell Torah backwards...How could they (Someone) write and stay true to any subject matter and make this hidden patern? ...Every fifty letters from both ends of the middle book (To the priest's "LEVITEicus") spells the name of thier God YHWH....By the way it only works in Hebrew people..In the beginning (Time) God created the heavens (Space) and the Earth (Matter)..
@mike62mcmanus- Your point is silly. Using a code in a script doesn't prove the script to be correct. It just means the authors where extremely mindful in their writing. If this were inspired by God, why would a code be used? It seems that if they were trying to describe the most amazing thing in the universe, it'd be as simple as possible. And it's only in Hebrew, that pretty much leads to a single society's belief.
The Quaran allegedly has a code as well. Does that prove the Quaran is true?
well seven is God's number (the seven days, seven visible colors of the rainbow, seven continents, seven visible planets "with the naked eye,) the first verse of the bible there are seven multiples of seven. But only in Hebrew again(yes God had to exclude all other places to come to the world) So on top of that seal thewy would have had to put in this pattern of top of that "IMPOSSIBLE' while staying true to any subject matter...MINDFULL indeed, there are none so blind as them that will not see.
@mike62mcmanus-Again, there is no evidence of any divine, supernatural force behind this. And you didn't answer about the Quran allegedly having a code either.
Call me blind, so what? It's completely silly to say that because there's an alleged crossword puzzle in the Torah, there is a god and this god did it. All the other apologitic claims have failed and, yet, absurd ones like this are being argued.
Please proof-read your replies. That one almost made me dizzy, and not just from your logic.
Here is 1 video & 1 channel (full of great uploads) that helped me as I sought out information on various topics. I hope your open mind & any free time you may have allows you to check these out. Take care Ashely & Have a great Day Buddy!!!
Thanks so much for your time my friend & thanks for your valued input as well. Your mind remains open, yet do not allow openness to sway you either way (towards belief or disbelief in God), but instead to steer you towards the Truth in it's entirety. Keep smiling that beautiful smile I got a glimpse of =)
PS.. I questioned God's existence, but as promised by our awesome God, if you seek him out (which includes scientifically, as you are simply analyzing his creation) you WILL find him!
God's Prophetic Word (which makes up more than 1/4 of the bible) has held perfect accuracy thus far, but please do not take my word for it, check it out for yourself. I bring this final point up, because it directly relates to the events I pointed towards in my past 2 comments. Many biblical prophecies are currently unfolding with great accuracy. God kindly warned a specific generation to "Be Alert" of these now occurring signs, I hope you will head such a warning & at least watch!
I sincerely bring up this topic of topics, because while all things 'can' be debated, the majority of those honestly observing the world's current happenings, whether it be politically, economically or naturally (within nature), readily agree that some major events are beginning & nearing (in all the areas mentioned above), the results of which will drastically shake-up the lives of most individuals.
Maybe someday in the future we will cross paths again & spend some time rubbing elbows (debating in other words) , however for the time being, if I may impose, I'd like to suggest that you remain extraordinarily watchful of world events over the next few years. If your not currently aware of the great tensions between so many prominent nations, or how globally, we are facing the the greatest food/water shortages ever, please take some time to become aware.
Hey there Ashley! I realized something important about my primary comment, which is that I did not greet you more sincerely. So please allow me to say now that I do hope your new year is off to a good start & if that be the case, that the days still ahead unfold in a similar fashion.
Now, while debating, the tossing back & forth of well developed arguments sporting tried & tested facts &/or theories, we must each do our own homework as I'm sure you would agree.
The Big-Bang confirms that the universe began to exist. Therefore, the universe must have been caused.
The skeptic may respond, "If an uncaused beginning is problematic for the universe, isn’t it problematic for God as well?" Not at all. Uncaused beginnings are problematic no matter what or Who you may be talking about. However, while we now know that the universe had a beginning, no one is claiming that God began to exist.
Everything that begins to exist has a cause. Although this cannot be proven with absolute certainty, history and common sense affirm it. The only other option is that something began to exist without a cause. Although this cannot be ruled out at the outset, not only do we lack experience and knowledge that this can be the case, but it seems absurd.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Ex nihilo nihil fit is the Latin for out of nothing, nothing comes. Just as you cannot get blood out of a turnip, you cannot get something out of nothing. Even the famous Scottish skeptic, David Hume, wrote, "But allow me to tell you that I never asserted so absurd a Proposition as that anything might arise without a cause."
The Big-Bang actually creates a tremendous problem for the atheist. If nothing at all existed prior to the Big-Bang, then what exploded?
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Moreover, the atheistic view, that the universe is all there is, requires that the universe, for no reason, just came into existence out of nothing. But again, this seems absurd. If the Christian had postulated such a proposition, he or she would have been laughed out of court.
The response of atheists to this dilemma has been silence. Atheist philosopher, Quentin Smith writes,
"The idea that the Big Bang theory allows us to infer that the universe began to exist about
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 15 billion years ago has attracted the attention of many theists. This theory seemed to confirm or at least lend support to the theological doctrine of creation ex nihilo. Indeed, the suggestion of a divine creation seemed so compelling that the notion that "God created the Big Bang" has taken a hold on popular consciousness and become a staple in the theistic component of ‘educated common sense’.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH By contrast, the response of atheists and agnostics to this development has been comparatively lame."
Under the atheistic worldview, the Big-Bang is problematic. It requires the atheist to make an incredible "leap of faith," a leap that goes against experience and common sense. By contrast, although some Christians have problems with the estimated age of the universe, the Big-Bang theory is at home within the Christian worldview.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH The Big-Bang confirms that the universe began to exist.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH If you are talking about Atheist existentialism, NO atheist I now supports this philosophy and you will have a hard time finding any atheist that will. Atheists are in persuit of the facts supported by evidence. We do not base our findings on mere speculation or "leaps of faith" as you do, we go where the evidence takes us......to the truth. If the truth is not there, we will keep looking for the answers elsewhere.
At some time or another most of us have asked the question, "How did God come to be?" The question is actually an intelligent one and reveals deep thought on behalf of the inquirer. Unlike us, God did not have a beginning. He has always existed. Yet how can this be? What did he do before He created the heavens and the earth? What was His existence like?
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH While these questions may have to remain unanswered for now, one does not have to know everything about something in order to be justified in believing it. Of course we want to be careful not to believe something that is certainly incoherent; for example, the existence of a married bachelor. Unless you alter their proper meanings, the terms "married" and "bachelor" can never be joined.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH The terms, "eternal" and "Being" are not incoherent. So we can believe that God is an eternal Being without fully understanding how this may be so. But we can go further. An eternal "something" is not only coherent, it is logically required. Why? There are only two options: the first thing to exist must either be eternal or it began to exist.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH For years scientists believed that the universe was eternal. In 1929, Edwin Hubble, after whom the Hubble telescope was named, noticed that the universe appeared to be expanding. This was confirmed in 1965 by Wilson and Penzias. The Big-Bang theory has since enjoyed acceptance by the consensus of astronomers.
The current consensus among cosmologists is that with the Big-Bang, matter, space, and time came into existence.
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Current thought is that there was not a cold vacuum of space where one could have watched the Big-Bang occur, but rather that space came about as a result of the Big-Bang. Imagine a parking space with a car. The parking space can exist, being empty when no car occupies it. However, if the parking space does not exist, neither can the car (in that spot at least). Neither can time elapse, measuring the existence of the space or the amount of time the car occupies it.
God loves you. He sent His son Jesus to die for your sins. Believe in Jesus and you will have the free gift of eternal life. John 3:16. For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
there would have never been an image on the paper, therefore something created the image. Just like how god created The Universe from nothing, he was there to start it. It is IMPOSIBLE to just form from nothing and I'm sorry if I offend any of you but atheism just seems so crazy to me and I know its not my place to judge but I can just rant on this all day!
All you atheist's belifs are nothing more than a psuedo theory to support your religion. You all just try to find reasons to think God didn't exists, when its pretty evident he does. You guys need to stop and think about all of this. Everything you guys say just don't make any sense. Nothing = Nothing, so nothing can form from nothing. Nothing = Something, when something is created. If I had a blank paper its nothing, there's nothing on the paper until I create an Image on the paper. Without me
@DeftonesKornFan we do not "try" to find reasons to thing your god did not exist. rather we accept the reasons for which it's impossible for him to have existed. the universe was made by the big bang. however you are suggesting that a man with some sort of superpower came up from nothing and created this earth? where did he come from in the first place? "It is far better to grasp the Universe as it really is than to persist in delusion, however satisfying and reassuring."
earth. Things as complex as the earth, sun, universe, humans, animals can't just form from nothing. Yeah we are born from our parents but our parents were born to. How do you think Man and Women were here to give birth in the first place to start the human race. They didn't just "form" and then say o, we can have a baby. God created all of this. Thats why we had adam and eve, man and women. to expand humans. He gave us the gift of life, that is why we live, even after death! I will just pray 4 u
This is so silly! So then Earth, Humans, Animals, Plants, etc. just formed, and was here one day! Is it coincedental that everything we need to live happened to be on earth. Do you find it weird how animals are on earth and give us food? If there was no sun we'd live in darkness, is it weird how we have a sun to light the day? Without water our bodies couldn't live, isn't it weird how the earth is made up of about 70% of water? GOD is real, he created these things for US so we could live in his
the universe appeared from nothing by natural causes ? that is the atheist stand point ? That don't make sense. Can i ask, " what is nothing?" We cant even comprehend "nothing" because it causes "something" in our imagination. What is natural about nothing ? if there is nothing, then there is no natural cause, because a natural cause can not exist in nothing. please atheists, use logics. something can not appear from nothing without it being created. because nothing is happening.
Creationism talks about who (or what) made everything, evolution and cosmology talk how these things were made. They are not even talking about the same thing. One might say that "god used evolution to greate life". Thats what Vatican stands for today at least.
Athiests are sadly illogical people stubborn and neglectful and boasted with ego to an extreme sense that they become blinded by them selves and the moment that they will got non of it back when they die ... they sleep 8 hours by force everyday and their world boils back down to nothing yet they insist on living their life in denial to a Lord that sent down clear messengers with guiding books one after the other and sealed it with a final book ... they dont want to read neither THINK
Girl you fucking rock, im sick of all the pro-god, naive chicken shits who wont even allow you to post freely your arguments challenging the theory on their vidoes. Keep iy up, love ya work.
Nothing went over his head, he most likely understood what you were saying (I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt), but didn't have an intelligent response. Then again, he didn't have an intelligent argument to begin with so I don't know why he didn't just mind-shit again.
@MaloBeto1 The believers in god are the ones that created god. The planets wear NOT created........they were formed. You were not created........you were born by your parents. Mankind was not created........mankind evolved.
we do have to point to divinity not because we dont know but ,like he proved in the video using logic there couldnt be anything, it doesnt just appear i know this might not be the best point because well no one really knows were god came from but still nothing natural is infinity powerful so it would be hard to make a living organism with maybe 1000 or so chances evolution has a slim chance of even basic making sense call me stupid but if the chance if god is 99% and evolution is 1% i choose god
If you want to test what Muslims claim (in the issue of God) put thier book to the test -- read it and test it before skiping it to the next avenue of your life...
Four reasons why I think there is no god; A) Total absence from the natural world. No sign of a god, before, during or after, natural disastres B) The absolute absence of favoritism towards believers. Even churches need lightning-rods to protect them from god. C) The absence of any reaction, when crimes are committed in his name. C) The suffering of the innocent. One could accept that the guilty must suffer, but children ???
Existence of God is proven beyond doubt because he is not nonexistent at any time and he is there all the time; the proof is when you are hungry you have food, when you are thirsty you have water, when you are sick you have medicine and when you were nonexistent he brought you into existence. Especially when you need a man you find one.
@AdorIslam "...the proof is when you are hungry you have food". So no-one has ever starved to death? "...when you are thirsty you have water". So no-one's ever died of dehydration? "...when you are sick...", yeah I'm, not even going to bother, too easy. "Especially when you need a man you find one". Wait, what, did I lose something in translation there? I thought most religions were against men "finding" other men when they "need" one. Hey, not that I'm judging you, whatever floats your boat.
Well, Islam is not against men or women but against their ugly deeds. When I said men I mean the women need men and men need women because they need each other.
And this is what I meant :"And among His signs is that He created for you mates from among yourselves that you may live in tranquility with them, and He has put love and mercy between you; verily, in that are signs for people who reflect." (Quran 30:21)
If people are starve to death or refused medical care or die of thirst is not something you blame it on God but blame it on people. I was just pointing out what God has given to his creations. Every creature finds food and drink and other things to survive. The truth is this is not a permanent place for those who believe so.
@AdorIslam So every person who has starved been dehydrated to death only has themselves (or other people) to blame? And what about the parasite that causes onchocerciasis (river blindness)? Did man create such a creature? If a child is struck blind because of this parasite, should we blame that on God, or is that man's fault again?
Well, when God created this world and everything in it and handed the planet to us and made us the Vicegerent he set the rule that if you do an atom weight of good, you 'll see it and if you do an atom weight of bad you'll see it and not only that he created good and bad but commanded you to choose good in order to test you and reward you. And he also sent prophets and revelations and guidance. So anything that is bad comes to you ti is because of you and vice versa
@AdorIslam So explain the bad that children who have died in their mother's wombs have done? Actually, wait, don't. I no longer care. All I can bring to the debate is science, logic and facts, and you have clearly illustrated they have no place in an argument about myth and superstition.
As I have been saying to every non-Muslim who want to debate Islam to learn Islam from Islamic scholars because you don't know anything about Islam. Every child s born a Muslim means submission to the will of God and that child is brought up as Jews, Christians, Atheist or anybody else is by their parents. continues
Any child dies in its mothers womb or in this world goes to paradise because children are not questioned until they are able to identify the truth even a mentally ill person is exempted from questioning on the Day of Judgment but he will be questioned as to what he used to earn during his normal life. So Islam is the rational religion and able to explain every question you have. Islam does not conflict with science.
@AdorIslam Actually, scientists in Islamic nations disregard actual scientific discovery when it conflicts with their beliefs. Do they not believe that “the seven earths” is a reference to seven layers of Earth's crust? There are 15 layers, however. 360 joints in the human body? There are around 307. They believe the 2005 tsunami was their god's wrath, disregarding plate tectonics. No, Islam does not coincide with science.
@Kiru26 As I understand the word seven layers doesn't mean seven in Arabic or Greek if I am not wrong because seven time seven means infinite time and as many times as you can. The Qur'an gives you a clue because God created you and gave you knowledge and the Qur'an doesn't tell you exactly the numbers in certain cases because the disbelievers are questioned as to why don't they see it. Not even a leaf false without the knowledge of God, so Tsunami could be God's wrath or blessing in disguise
Atleast you didn't go on to tell us about the invisible dragon in the garage, and then say you can't prove there is no God...like you did in another one of your vids.
You need to talk with more respect if you want people to take you seriously. Not to mention work on your wording...
1:33..."...that doesn't mean that we have to point to something devine just because we don't understand what it is yet..."
^^^ what it is??
Word yourself correctly and prepare before you speak.
The general creationist response when anyone brings up something they don't have an answer for is "The Lord works in mysterious ways". Although, I don't know why I expected anything more, when any given creationist argument can be boiled down to "A wizard done it, and if you question this at all the wizard will send you to Hell."

we actually know what caused the big bang, (the singularity gets to a point where it has too much matter and energy that it eventually explodes sending matter away from and original point creating time and a universe in expansion) every thing that happened after that was chaos of elements and energy every where.
Excepted for you.

DrNikol2007 5 months ago
Do not give me this crap – god created the universe out of nothing because it is B.S. If there was nothing before the universe was created then god was not there either. Nothing means there is no god as well. If god existed and there was source-matter for him to make the universe then who made that matter. If there was nothing else but god then god could make the universe out of himself. But we know god is not material then he must have turned himself into material one – does not make sense.
DrNikol2007 5 months ago
@DrNikol2007 Albert Einstein said, that matter and energy where related, the atomic bomb along with others experiments proof him right. People that didn't not know this relation wrote thousands of years ago about a God that was the source of ALL energy (yup you can create matter out of energy)

DrNikol2007 5 months ago
We would be able to able to measure time as we do it for the three dimensions of the space. With time we cannot do it… because it does not exist it is an abstract category used in physics. If there was no time there won’t be sequence of events – neither CnE relationship. Everithing is happening now and the events are mutually interacting transformations. We have clocks but we do not measure time we actually count intervals of ‘time.’ 60 seconds are 1 minute, 60 minutes are 1 hour, etc.
DrNikol2007 5 months ago
Dear young lady, there is no cause and effect (CnE) relationship in the universe we live in. In order to prove there is CnE between two evens a necessary condition is the event-cause to precede the even-effect, i.e. cause must start acting earlier then the event-effect. This requires time to exist in our universe. But is it so - not really? If time existed we would be four dimensional creatures and would be able to travel in time as we can travel in other tree dimensions of the space.
DrNikol2007 5 months ago

Because he is infinity you may not proof in the laboratory, cause he is not finite, the scientific method will not works. Is a Phylosophy problem rather than scientific. its better to believe in A LIVING GOD then to believe we came from absolutley nothing .figure it out,you seem fairly smart,What you need to do is look at the impossibility of the big bang, evolution, random creation,,it just is not mathematically possible, the laws of physics don't allow it and its just common sense, that something cannot come from nothing.I really hope you find God before prophecy is full filled, its happening right in front of you.Now you can laugh and call me some name,God Bless!

The god thing is a futile shortcut to ease the pain.

there is no evidence for a big bang and there is ample evidence that it couldnt have occurred and produced the universe ie. the law of entropy. all u atheists will have eternity of regret for the foolish choices tht you now seem to enjoy.
j919or 8 months ago 2
@j919or You dont even know what the law of entropy is, so please stop mumbling until you are at least minimal informed.
Of course there is no evidence of the big bang, no one ever even claimed that. The big bang is just a scenario which is most plausible considering the knowledge we currently have. Guess what, the evil scientists keep changing details regarding the BB, not to confuse you religious nuts (this would be fun, tho), no, they keep learning and evolving. :)
TiKallisti 7 months ago
@TiKallisti ANd they will never know bc evolution is not science but historical reconstruction. The BB is not plausible for there are several problems with it, that science ignores bc they have nothing else to explain origins. Same with evolution. They have nothing else and so they ignbore the HUGE problems with it. the law of entropy states that all is moving towards disorder. Entropy is the current level of disorder and without intelligent life to reverse it entropy increases.

I say let people believe what they want to believe.People on both sides of this arguement can be really pushy. It's the pushy people we have to stand up to, not each other.
sissum71 9 months ago

[cont]

who created god if he created himself or he as always existed this means that it is possible that the universe created itself or as always existed disprove that

Because the earth and the heavens above (the sun, moon, stars, planets, galaxies, etc.) have been formed from this same 'smoke' we conclude that the earth and the heavens were one connected entity.

(continued)

FallofDarkness55 10 months ago
@Naelzek dawkins is a teacher not a professional debater, also dawking is a professional on evolution ,not the origins of the universe. his other beliefs are based on scientific discoveries from other professionals.PS, THEY HAVE DEBATED!
''Multiverse is purely conjecture and has no grounds in scientific evidence''
so is creationism!
you need to learn that creationism's whole argument is an argument from ignorance.
we dont claim to KNOW everything, but GOD IS NOT THE DEFAULT FOR THE UNKNOWN!!
theUKatheist 10 months ago
@theUKatheist
thats a poor argument.."hes not a professional debater" very very weak right there.
Naelzek 9 months ago
@Naelzek did you just choose to ignore the fact that they have already had a debate? You are babbling away for no reason, also if you are a theistic evolutionist then why are you bothered? Evolution is what Dawkins is a professional at, nothing else. I don't understand your point here, he is an evolution specialist and you are for evolution, and they have already had the debate you boasting he's scared of. So what are you talking about? Whats your point exactly??
theUKatheist 9 months ago
@theUKatheist The universe Began to exist, Anything that begins to exist must have a cause. God was the cause that began the universe.
Naelzek 9 months ago
@Naelzek thats simply an argument from ignorance. you dont know what caused it so you assert that it is god, plus 'everything must have a cause' means that god had a cause , so something created god. also for something to exist before time and outside our universe is for something not to exist at all. so god rather does not exist or he had a cause. its simple, everything else you imply is just an assertion from an argument from ignorance.

You dont see the wind, but you FEEL the wind on your skin thanks to the NERVES inside your skin, it also makes your hair go fuzzy x] And with your God, you have this so-called ''Feeling'', Are you actually basing God on these shitfacts?
codyjohn1551 11 months ago
@codyjohn1551 There are people who actually died and came back in their bodies. There are tons of books about it from real people who actually died and they explain what they saw. So there is life after death. Dont believe it just wait til you die man, simple as that. Its reality, not just biblic and from God. Do some research cuz im only 1 person in billions who know this already. God is real. Dont worry you'll see pretty soon. Jesus is coming back. And every knee will bow. Peace. dont reply.

Tsk, for starters, l believe in technology, scientists who unlock the key to eternal life, Ergo: l will not die, l have no intention to, second, if jesus is coming back, l rather die than kneel for him. hello. I'm a Christian.
about your point on creation, based on what you say in this video, I think you're missing something important...
It seems like you agree on the big bang theory. Well based on the 'nature' of nature, matter cannot create itself from nothing. So if you say we cannot, or at least should not point to the Divine for an answer, then what would you point at? It has to be something that supersedes nature, then, but then, wouldn't that take faith to believe in?
mukeh111 1 year ago
@mukeh111
It is a logical fallacy.
craigblack1234 1 year ago
@craigblack1234 i.e. you would rather be indifferent to the whole concept of God and the unknown. The thing is, because there is such an unknown thing as death, being indifferent is logical fallacy. You must at some point have faith that either nothing is going to happen or something infinitely important is going to happen. We cannot at any point ignore the possibilities and still call ourselves rational. I have very good reason to believe in God. What do you really believe or want to believe?
mukeh111 1 year ago
@mukeh111 No, the 'nature' of nature, as you say it, is that matter -cannot- be created -at all-. (Or more specifically energy) The fact that matter irrefutably exists in some form however implies that this 'fact' (i.e. the law of conservation of energy) is either false or has exceptions. It does -not- imply anything divine.
Artwich 1 year ago
@Artwich I do believe there is a difference between using our own efforts in explaining existence while never being able to get answers, and having faith while being open to using science to learn more about what is in our reach. Personally, I see God as being the most logical ultimate answer and gives our being an actual point for existence. I'd urge anyone to not limit themselves to science for answers since it literally can't solve everything, but to have faith in God as we are meant to.
mukeh111 1 year ago
@mukeh111 If you believe that God is the most logical explanation, then who am I to oppose that? Note however that the argument here is precisely all theories on such a meta-level are unfalsifiable, so you are effectively supporting the argument, but observing the result from a different position.
Artwich 1 year ago
@Artwich I'd like to also point out that I do not just believe in God from my perception of scientific or philosophical reason. I don't know if you have thought deeply about the implication of there really being a God that relentlessly wants you for a fervent love relationship between Creator and the created. I see God acting in my life everyday. I literally rely on Him in situations and things always turn out better than expected. The Doctor only goes to the patient. Please give God a chance.

The first two books of the Torah spell Torah at fifty letter intervals..Every fifty letters backwards from the last two spell Torah backwards...How could they (Someone) write and stay true to any subject matter and make this hidden patern? ...Every fifty letters from both ends of the middle book (To the priest's "LEVITEicus") spells the name of thier God YHWH....By the way it only works in Hebrew people..In the beginning (Time) God created the heavens (Space) and the Earth (Matter)..
mike62mcmanus 1 year ago
@mike62mcmanus- Your point is silly. Using a code in a script doesn't prove the script to be correct. It just means the authors where extremely mindful in their writing. If this were inspired by God, why would a code be used? It seems that if they were trying to describe the most amazing thing in the universe, it'd be as simple as possible. And it's only in Hebrew, that pretty much leads to a single society's belief.
The Quaran allegedly has a code as well. Does that prove the Quaran is true?
besidemymind 1 year ago
well seven is God's number (the seven days, seven visible colors of the rainbow, seven continents, seven visible planets "with the naked eye,) the first verse of the bible there are seven multiples of seven. But only in Hebrew again(yes God had to exclude all other places to come to the world) So on top of that seal thewy would have had to put in this pattern of top of that "IMPOSSIBLE' while staying true to any subject matter...MINDFULL indeed, there are none so blind as them that will not see.
mike62mcmanus 1 year ago
@mike62mcmanus-Again, there is no evidence of any divine, supernatural force behind this. And you didn't answer about the Quran allegedly having a code either.
Call me blind, so what? It's completely silly to say that because there's an alleged crossword puzzle in the Torah, there is a god and this god did it. All the other apologitic claims have failed and, yet, absurd ones like this are being argued.
Please proof-read your replies. That one almost made me dizzy, and not just from your logic.

Dear Ashley,
God's Prophetic Word (which makes up more than 1/4 of the bible) has held perfect accuracy thus far, but please do not take my word for it, check it out for yourself. I bring this final point up, because it directly relates to the events I pointed towards in my past 2 comments. Many biblical prophecies are currently unfolding with great accuracy. God kindly warned a specific generation to "Be Alert" of these now occurring signs, I hope you will head such a warning & at least watch!
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
I sincerely bring up this topic of topics, because while all things 'can' be debated, the majority of those honestly observing the world's current happenings, whether it be politically, economically or naturally (within nature), readily agree that some major events are beginning & nearing (in all the areas mentioned above), the results of which will drastically shake-up the lives of most individuals.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
Maybe someday in the future we will cross paths again & spend some time rubbing elbows (debating in other words) , however for the time being, if I may impose, I'd like to suggest that you remain extraordinarily watchful of world events over the next few years. If your not currently aware of the great tensions between so many prominent nations, or how globally, we are facing the the greatest food/water shortages ever, please take some time to become aware.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago

GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
Everything that begins to exist has a cause. Although this cannot be proven with absolute certainty, history and common sense affirm it. The only other option is that something began to exist without a cause. Although this cannot be ruled out at the outset, not only do we lack experience and knowledge that this can be the case, but it seems absurd.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Ex nihilo nihil fit is the Latin for out of nothing, nothing comes. Just as you cannot get blood out of a turnip, you cannot get something out of nothing. Even the famous Scottish skeptic, David Hume, wrote, "But allow me to tell you that I never asserted so absurd a Proposition as that anything might arise without a cause."
The Big-Bang actually creates a tremendous problem for the atheist. If nothing at all existed prior to the Big-Bang, then what exploded?
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Moreover, the atheistic view, that the universe is all there is, requires that the universe, for no reason, just came into existence out of nothing. But again, this seems absurd. If the Christian had postulated such a proposition, he or she would have been laughed out of court.
The response of atheists to this dilemma has been silence. Atheist philosopher, Quentin Smith writes,
"The idea that the Big Bang theory allows us to infer that the universe began to exist about
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 15 billion years ago has attracted the attention of many theists. This theory seemed to confirm or at least lend support to the theological doctrine of creation ex nihilo. Indeed, the suggestion of a divine creation seemed so compelling that the notion that "God created the Big Bang" has taken a hold on popular consciousness and become a staple in the theistic component of ‘educated common sense’.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH By contrast, the response of atheists and agnostics to this development has been comparatively lame."
Under the atheistic worldview, the Big-Bang is problematic. It requires the atheist to make an incredible "leap of faith," a leap that goes against experience and common sense. By contrast, although some Christians have problems with the estimated age of the universe, the Big-Bang theory is at home within the Christian worldview.

@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH "no one is claiming that God began to exist." So what are you claiming if anything?
talover30 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH If you are talking about Atheist existentialism, NO atheist I now supports this philosophy and you will have a hard time finding any atheist that will. Atheists are in persuit of the facts supported by evidence. We do not base our findings on mere speculation or "leaps of faith" as you do, we go where the evidence takes us......to the truth. If the truth is not there, we will keep looking for the answers elsewhere.
talover30 1 year ago
At some time or another most of us have asked the question, "How did God come to be?" The question is actually an intelligent one and reveals deep thought on behalf of the inquirer. Unlike us, God did not have a beginning. He has always existed. Yet how can this be? What did he do before He created the heavens and the earth? What was His existence like?
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH While these questions may have to remain unanswered for now, one does not have to know everything about something in order to be justified in believing it. Of course we want to be careful not to believe something that is certainly incoherent; for example, the existence of a married bachelor. Unless you alter their proper meanings, the terms "married" and "bachelor" can never be joined.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH The terms, "eternal" and "Being" are not incoherent. So we can believe that God is an eternal Being without fully understanding how this may be so. But we can go further. An eternal "something" is not only coherent, it is logically required. Why? There are only two options: the first thing to exist must either be eternal or it began to exist.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH For years scientists believed that the universe was eternal. In 1929, Edwin Hubble, after whom the Hubble telescope was named, noticed that the universe appeared to be expanding. This was confirmed in 1965 by Wilson and Penzias. The Big-Bang theory has since enjoyed acceptance by the consensus of astronomers.
The current consensus among cosmologists is that with the Big-Bang, matter, space, and time came into existence.
GODLOVESUSSOMUCH 1 year ago
@GODLOVESUSSOMUCH Current thought is that there was not a cold vacuum of space where one could have watched the Big-Bang occur, but rather that space came about as a result of the Big-Bang. Imagine a parking space with a car. The parking space can exist, being empty when no car occupies it. However, if the parking space does not exist, neither can the car (in that spot at least). Neither can time elapse, measuring the existence of the space or the amount of time the car occupies it.

AdorIslam 1 year ago
@AdorIslam "...the proof is when you are hungry you have food". So no-one has ever starved to death? "...when you are thirsty you have water". So no-one's ever died of dehydration? "...when you are sick...", yeah I'm, not even going to bother, too easy. "Especially when you need a man you find one". Wait, what, did I lose something in translation there? I thought most religions were against men "finding" other men when they "need" one. Hey, not that I'm judging you, whatever floats your boat.
capitalknockers666 1 year ago
@capitalknockers666

AdorIslam 1 year ago

@capitalknockers666

Kiru26 1 year ago
