I'm disappointed this game has no split-screen. It's what ,e and my dad loved about the older classic ones. Now, that they just dropped it, it sucks ass. We can't ever play NFS together again. :(

The handling is just fine. Super fun and easy compared to the Need for Speed Shift games.

when you get to the title screen choose career

when in career you can choose cop or racer freeroam by hovering the selector over the different destinations. on the bottom of the screen it should say either racer or cop freeroam

Shift hasn't freeroam and police right? I must say I liked Hot Pursuit more than the first Shift game. I haven't tried Shift 2, but I guess it's about the same.

I am not sure if I understood your question... If you mean gas like a gas station, there are no need for gas to cars.

The speed only effects the mileage...

Uhm, I do not think there are cops chasing you in free roam, I think the free roam is just for fun and try out cars. However, the game is awesome and I recommend buying it.
