  • I want some one to dub Bakemonogatari, in the USA, I have only seen a few episodes and it is good! As for the Fractale, I think that I might take a look at some AMVs and reviews, with a little luck this will be a vary dark anime.

  • I hope Google buys Funimation.

  • Actually Brent, lately I have been reading this manga called Otaku no Musume-san. And in the book we find out about a few character's back stories. And from what I read there back story sounds very parallel to the description you gave to Bunny Drop. Of course the resolution to the back story is very different. But maybe you should check this manga out. It's very good.

  • I guess I'll start buying Funimation DVDs -.- not that one single person will save Funimation but w/e

  • i hope a good company buys funimation

  • I e-mailed around to several retailers (online and bricknmortar) and they have a very grim view of FUNimation's sale. Basically, Navarre bought FUNimation for $125 million in 2005....and today, FUNimation is only worth $25 million. Expanding share of a shrinking market. There was no "magic bullet" that enabled FUNimation to dominate the anime market while other companies collapsed; just that Navarre would pump money into it to keep it moving while independent companies (ADV) struggled.

  • @ReVolutionOfEva ...but unfortunately, its reached the point that Navarre has realized its not going to get back all of the money it loaned out to FUNimation all these years. Further, the retailers said that *no one* in the current market is able or willing to pay anything close to the original $125 million that Navarre paid for FUNimation....so the retailers openly doubted that Navarre can actually find a buyer for FUNimation.

Meanwhile, FUNimation just licensed *everthing* this summer...

  • @ReVolutionOfEva (part 3 ) following the old strategy of "if we license EVERYTHING, even at a loss, it will drive the competition into bankruptcy"...where have we heard this before? Oh yeah, the anime boom of 2003-2004 when Geneon and ADV licensed *everything* in the hopes of crowding out their competitiors. It didn't work then, and certainly won't work now, when demand is down. They're making a new bubble...and for what? They're already the dominant company!

    Expect big problems next year.

  • Fuck, no anime shelter? Where am i supose to hide from Peach girl and sekion no qwaser?

  • I already know that Fractale is guaranteed to be good, I was sold when you brought up it being on Noitamina & involving staff that worked on Haruhi, Kannagi, Black Butler & Toradora.

  • You sound like you have a bit of a cold. I hope you feel better soon if you do.

  • Thank you for doing a nice job on report.
