I'm completely uneducated on the matter as I'm not a gearhead, I just love cars - so go easy on me.. Could someone tell me why someone would choose to go with such a narrow track on such a powerful vehicle with a wheelbase as short as this? I can see the car is obviously not meant to corner well, but still.. Is it simply a matter of style or is there some gain in performance by giving this car such a narrow track?
@ModestNeophyte LMFAO no.. wider tires.. its looks narrower but they wanted the wheels to fit under the body without lifting the car.. the more rubber the more traction.. and the axle in the rear should have good weight so that it keeps traction down on the wheels
@ModestNeophyte less weight... no neeed for wide tires. during normal driving in dry weather thats enough to get you to turn and in drag its a straight line so no need to turn.. instead we make them thinner for better aero dynamics and lighter weight
Lies . who? the last year they made it was 1987 . you have to go aftermarket or a junkyard to get one and people do cause it will stand up to pretty much anything you throw at it. I think you are prob thinking of a 8.8 and even that is better then the ever blowing gm rear ends . stop being a fanboy

The only thing is that in the beginning of the video, it says its a 1988, but it has the front end of the 89+, so its either newer or hes swaped the front end. But i must say DAMN! that is one mean ass machine...
stock engine 98hp?
it's 93hp
doesnt matter tho, it's not in it. I own a Mopar P-body, but mine is a 93 with the 3.0l v6. mildly modded

@ModestNeophyte big wheels son.. need some tracktion to the ground
xmodrock 4 months ago
@xmodrock does it have something to do with narrower axles meaning less weight so more power goes to the wheels?

@xmodrock I know the wheels in the back are wide but i'm pretty much only talking about the front tires.. they seem to be set pretty narrow...
