zak, i would like to recommend that you try to teach any of your dog to jump and do back flip, cause yesterday i just saw someone uploaded a video about dog doing backflip while catching the frisbee...
Giving real meat to dogs, the meat we people eat is gonna half theyre life. For exaple instead of 16 years he will live 8-10 years if u give him real food. Dogs should eat dog food, which is best for tham and theyre health. So instead of real mean better give them some doggy cookies they eat rarly and they really like. :)

How do you fade your prompts? My dog readily limps for several steps with me holding his paw, but I'm not sure how to fade prompts so that he is independent.
BTW, THANK YOU for being so active in teaching the general public positive teaching methods. I can't tell you how often I'm told I'm "spoiling" my dog or told to "correct" him for being... well, him. He's a collie and so has the "collie bark." I've been working with Controlled Unleashed, making tons of prgress. Rather do it positively.

First of all you are amazing, I love your non-aggressive approach. I saw this video of a dog skipping, its so cute, and I would think it is similar to the limping. I was wondering how to get your dog to skip, that would be so cool if you did a video !
@kristenbullo to get your dog to skip i would probably teach it to jump first and then get a skipping rope and then bring the skipping rope by its feet then command it to jump and then swing it under its legs whilst its jumping then keep on doing that and then soon it will probably get the hang of jumping when when you bring the skipping rope under its feet but thats just my opinion i dont know if it works ive never tried it :)

You're a genius man. You've inspired me to train my dog to do tricks. I always thought it was useless to teach a dog limp, or roll over. But its pretty cool how close the dog bonded with you in that short period of time just by teaching him.
@lucasmeelad1 the clicker lets off a high pitched sound whenever you click it that only your dog can understand, dogs associate it with a good thing so its a good way to let your dog know he has done something that pleased you :)

My dog is very food motivated so I use half of her daily cup of kibble during a training session. She's a small dog who tends to put on weight so I cut treats out of her diet entirely with the exception of a Zukes bone a couple times a month.

@comptonzfinest your dog associates the frisbee as something extremely positive, that's probably why she gets so excited when she sees it.
try taking the frisbee out and not playing with it right away, at least until your dog calms down, even if it takes awhile.

how about teaching the dog to balance on a monkey bar or something. or a barrle. or how to teach the dog how to roll a barrle. My horse riding instructor has her dog run out into the arena and bring back traffic cones.

I've had Siberian Huskies for 18 years. I finally got a Sibe that LOVES to do tricks! I usually get a puzzled look or the just DON'T wanna do it.
This one is two now and thanks to clicker training and shaping, I am getting behaviors that I can show off now.

My dog is very food motivated so I use half of her daily cup of kibble during a training session. She's a small dog who tends to put on weight so I cut treats out of her diet entirely with the exception of a Zukes bone a couple times a month.
