It's all about preference and a live performance should never match a recording. If I have the album, I hope it's different live. The amazing thing about this band is that in each song, the emotion is portrayed in a way that matches the rest of the song and even the titles of each. I happen to love her voice and appreciate her as a singer because even though she has a general singing style, she uses it differently depending on the song, this one... titled Misery Is A Butterfly, it didn't seem to me like it was supposed to be very pleasant considering Misery. Though she makes it beautiful in its structure and through melody

The thing about Kazu's voice is its sheer vulnerability. In this one its particularly difficult to bear, but in other recordings her voice is sweet, soft and not as ear-piercingly high-pitched. Her voice is capable of so much, and is more compelling than anything I've heard.

And you can appreciate a band's talent without liking them. So even if you don't like the band, doesn't mean you can't
