The Responsible Way Forward for Iraq and our Military

During the past four years I have never heard or read of President Bush mentioning he was mistakenly wrong about Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq, his whole premise for invading this country; a country who has never physically acted aggressively or committed a violet act towards us. He has asked us to believe and support in him and his administration, and to the time of this writing, wants us to "Stay the Course". I feel we must ask ourselves a few simple questions "How long and how much"?

Governor Richardson of New Mexico needs to pay attention to New Mexico. His running for President is not good for New Mexico or the country. If he can't handle the state issues, what makes anybody think he's a good candidate for President? The support staff at UNM Hospital have very low wages and deserve a living wage. He could do something, he's been asked! Pay attention to your constituents Mr Richardson!

Quite a vision of the military. I believe in an awesome military too, but I stop after the crushing conflict. Richardson takes the Russians too lightly. Can anyone believe in his nation building force? Post college, super expensive trainees? What are we trying to do?

This is absurd. Richardson can't have it both ways. Either you are for peace or you're for the war. Richardson wants to pull out of Iraq but blow up the war to like 5 other countries. WHAT?

Clear and comprehensive plan for progress in our foreign affairs. No other candidate has offered a commitment like this. If none of the other candidates follow his leadership on this issue, with commitments, I will have to vote for Richardson to keep a clean conscience. I just saw 'The Ground Truth' and I agree that we need to change the way we train our military (for defense not invasion). Richardson doesn't believe in the "War on Terror" like he doesn't believe in the "War on Drugs". Even direct democracies have large militias ready for defense.

I've volunteered/interned/campaigne­d for this guy and he is the only one that will get our troops out of Iraq. I don't understand why people say he's reaching to the left on this issue. Isn't the war in Iraq the whole reason that we voted for the Dems in 06? They can't and won't do it so lets vote for the guy that will. Clinton, Obama and Edwards will not do it in 09 either, so lets vote for someone that will. I'm voting for Richardson.

I think almost ANY of the Dems can win in the general with the state that the repubs are in. It's just a question of where we want the dem party to go. However, I think it's vitally important to stop HRC...she could not only lose the general, but would certainly hurt the brand of the party and all races down the ticket.
