Horse racing has been part of the State Fair for 100+ years and has been a good source of revenue for Cal Expo. But in the last five years, racetracks across the country have seen a downward spiral. The future does not look good for horse racing in general.
Bay Meadows is gone. Golden Gate Fields is for sale. Indian Casinos are our competition. We love this sport, but we must look for alternatives in case racing doesn't survive.
Be very VERY careful of a wold in sheeps clothing! Why do you think they have kept this so secretive? It is not what you think it is and is going to impact the surrounding area severly. Let them display the total visual renering of the total devolopment before you make a yes decision. By the way, how did the state break the legal will that the the property was only to be used for the pupose of a state fair?

i have a question? Mostly this project is going to be made for the Kings, Why pay for a arena for the last placed team in the NBA? I don't get it?
Just sell them to Kansas City lol
