  • gosh this iranian eat guy is mentally disturbed poor thing. Instead of the hard worker Afghans I feel sorry for This sick Iranians

  • arent Afghans allowed to work in Iran?

  • at 16:15 you can hear a man singing in the background...does anybody know the song?

  • filme ghashangi bod va kheyli ham ghamgin. dastetoon dard nakone

  • No dear this film is not against Irani People but it is against our selfishness, we should be sympethetic with all humn beings specialy with our Muslim brothers

  • Majidi kicks ass making these movies. Reza Naji is a hard ass motherfucker! I wish they would bring him to the U.S. to play a bad guy. Whatever kind of bad guy it doesn't matter. From terrorist to serial rapist, I don't care as long as it's a Hollywood film and high budget! Reza Naji for President!!!

  • please, put english subtitles....I am crazy of persian movies....hello from turkey....

  • @nanelikoru You don't need English subtitles for almost half of the movie, because Lateef is Azeri and he speaks Azeri Turkic quite intelligible for Turkish.

  • @nanelikoru

    with english subs

    pcMs1V9DDHE

  • Iranian are fucking stupid.......

  • فلم خيلي جالب وقشنگي است ولي اين تقريباً نگا به وضعيت مهاجرين تقريباً حقيقت است.

  • subtitle please!!!!

  • Iranian construction methods and worker's conditions depicted in this film have not changed in decades, I'm sorry to see.

Unfortunately, afghanis are treated like oakeys once were here in America during the Depression. However, the fact that refugees were allowed into Iran to escape war and the Taliban does say something positive about Iranians, in itself.

Here's hoping for peace and a better life for Afghani's in the future.

  • @bluezappy

they have changed but why bother buying heavy machinery when you can get afghans?

You can get 30 afghans to do the job of a tractor and it will still cost less.

  • @bluezappy

btw these random ass projects are all built by low skilled AFG refugees but if you want to see properly built buildings then check out "iran world trade center" or the stuff that is being built in kish island. As I said, for projects like this it's cheaper to get Afghans then get heavy machinery. 30 afg=a tractor and it's still cheaper

  • I really love it, iam pity to Baran really

  • Comment removed

  • i'm from china and i love this movie.

    but why no subtitle?

  • what a nice & thouching movie, love it. It really shows Afghans life & misery in Iran & how we get mistreated by Iranian people though we have had similar culture and language for thousand of year. very regretable....

Tanks for posting this movie Franky

  • you are right, iran and afghanestan the most closest countries to each other. Many iranians even dont know that many great persian figures like ibn sina, farabi,... were actually born in today's afghanistan. im not justifying this behaviour, but the reason of this mistreatment is that most afghan people in iran are poor illegal immigrants and rich educated afghans immigrate to US and europe. you cannot say all iranians are the same. even this movie is iranian.

  • yeh i m with u mazgan ... but see what u thinking ,,, not all irani got same thought az u got ,,,

  • R u an Iranian ? come on, very strange.

Insan dusti wa insan parasti juze az gharize insani ast, na haiwani.

30 years of wars ve made us unworthy to live, life is really unfair...

Those unfortunate illegal immigrants r not there for picknic or to grab the land.

We cant liquidate the people on the basis of bank acount. Without poor there ll be no cheap labor to build highway, building or clean the mess....as its obvious in this movie.

Human race is above everything, long live humanity.

  • i dont like how the movie ended !

  • the main character seems like Gael García, but from Irán hahaha

  • i dont speak this idiom :S

  • "works on a construction site in Tehran with some Kurds" - are you sure they're Kurds? the only language spoken in this movie that is not Persian sounds like Azari to me...

  • pour Afghan peoples, they have been threat like slaves in Iran. this peoples built most of Tehran buildings with they hard work and we Iranian always threat them like animals. pas ghalat mikonim begim; Bani adam azaye yek digarand...

  • tnx for uploading this:)

  • It's a masterpiece, I have the movie and watched it several times. It's just a bit sad there are not subtitles, and, unles one speaks Farsi, there's no way to really follow it. Many thanks for posting it. Besides Asian cinematograpy, Iranian films are among the best in the world as art creations.

  • Best ever

  • wow some of those Iranian look like chines ppl, I think they got all kind of race in them, black and Mongoloid and Caucasian

  • no man, they are ppl from afghanistan, who lived many years in Iran, just read what i wrote in ABOUT THIS VIDEO friend.

  • @franky1984 Since you do not have subtitles for this movie in english, may you please tell me why Baran left? Did she know that he loved her? What was the large amount of mone about? Whyd did she cover her beautiful face before she got on the back of the truck at the end. If possible do you know what ever happened to Zahra Barahmi? Her bio. states that this was her first and only film. Has she ever starred in any other films? Please, I must know.

  • @locknez1munster

there is a version e/ eng subs here on you tube

    search this pcMs1V9DDHE

  • @nimrooo I found it yesterday, two days after I had already seen it. Guess what I did. Yep, that's right, I watched it again. I understand completely. Shokran Sadiati. One thing though, what ever happened to Zahra Barehmi? Is she still starring in films?

    Ma 'a salam.

  • @locknez1munster

I have no idea. Most of these actors and actresses are normal ppl not pros. Have you seen the movie where is the friend's home? In that movie the two kids were two normal villagers. Some years later there was an earth quake in that village and Abbas Kiarostami (the director) went back to the village to find those two kids. He made it into a doc/movie.

And what does "Shokran Sadiati" mean? Is it Arabic?

  • @nimrooo Yes, it's Arabic. It means, "Thank you friend."

I was thinking it would be the case, that these were just ordinary people. I could practically feel their emotions pouring through my screen. The film has a genuine feel to it that big stars would not pull through because they overact. I asked about Zahra because when I saw her, I almost felt her pain. When she smiled at Taleef, I sensed her joy on an emotional level. I think she is beautiful, and yes, also in the physical sense.

  • @franky1984 Yes, they are the 'Hazara' people of Afghanistan, they are illegal immigrants in Iran who often perform difficult and arduous labour.

  • People bordering Mongolia are going to look like Mongolians dumbass. Why would they be black jackass? Do you know of any black nations near Central Asia?

  • Do not call me dumb ass, dumb ass, take look at yourself in the mirror , as far as I know you Iranian are noting but mutt and Huns this good enough answer for you!? :)

  • I'm not Iranian jackass. However an American calling others "mut" is especially ridiculous given your status as "melting pot" you half breed bitch.

  • @sakinehbs as a matter of fact thats right, we iranians have all kind of races/ethnicities in Iran, from black, mongoloid to caucasian. But this so called "chines looking ppl" in this movie are afghans and not iranians. In Iran we have some small numbers of ppl with mongoloid features, especially in north-eastern parts of Iran in Khorasan province etc. You find them among turkomens, khorasani local people etc.

  • please put all the film in the youtub. if you can. thank you.

  • it is in persian..please can someone upload a version with english subtitles...

  • Dear franky1984,

Do you know where I could find the English subtitles for this movie? Im so far from Iran myself trying to collect Iranian movies to show people over here in Chile, Latinamerica. I would love to add some Spanish subtitles on it. Id appreciate it a lot if you could help me, many thanks!

  • Shonbul, is this a movie?

  • ya cok sıkıcı

  • well this movie makes sad. the justice afghani people suffer from the hands of iranians. they work harder and get paid less than iranian workers. is that justice? is that humanity?? is decency?????
