@ruggesan He is one of the Masters rc heli helicopters, so dont worry, we, the people who knows a little about this hobby, know that there are only few guys in the world capable to fly like Mr Nick Maxwell. I will be trying some inverted hover in my garage til 2014 maybe...
@ruggesan Please search Nick Maxwell helicopters, then you will understand that normal people who flies rc helicopters know our capabilities and wont be under risk. This is masters stuff...
no doubts about skillness, you just forget that there's something you can't keep under 100% control: the heli's electromechanical devices.May something not work, so safety margins would reveal being dramatically poor...That's all.Skillness is the same a few footstep ahead, out of the garage,i.e. the whole matter seems very exhibitionist, and a very bad example for other people.Remind in aviation good pilots are just the ones who have no accidents, and do not need to show how "good" they are.Solong
@ruggesan dont degrade this video, Nick Maxwell fully understands the risks involved even with a 200 size. anyone in the hobby should so WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO tell people that rc helis are dangerous! from the time i started on a trex 450 i have known that fact! you guys need to realize that on this video and other similar ones they know what there doing and other pilots do too, we are not stupid

Thats an incredible flight! I have the first version of this gaui 200 and the V2, and I can do some mild 3d, Could you be honest and answer me a question? Do you feel the v2 version is better to do 3d than this one on the video? Becuse the v2 a lot heavier, is like a the one in the video but with two battery packs. Or is it me, that dont have the patience or knowledge to make it work properly?
This is the 1st version of GAUI EP200 (PN 203910) - with flybar. GAUI no longer seems to sell it through its retail channels, as it has been replaced with SE/V2 models for some time already.
Man, you are ready for the MASTER competitions. By the way, I won't even try that on a sim. Otherwise, I will keep my finger on the reset button... ;)
Anyone can pic up a rtf heli and learn to fly. But you have mastered the art. Hats off to you & your mad skills. I wouldn't mind haveing a room like that and some of those mini helis on my simulator. if you can do this in a small room I can't even beggin to imagine what you in a big one .
This is nuts... to me a garage sees like such a little place.. here it seems like a gym ;) And what's up with landing inverted?! Crap! :) Good job is not enough to be said ;)
it was called the Mas setup where i was (as in Mike Mas). But i have heard it called switchless. i just thought that was a strange comment unless you were trying to be funny. you'd break your invert switch off trying to fly like nick does in this vid with invert-switch setup.
ya, I know, it's just that part where hes inverted for a long time then lands on the ceiling. Inverted switch would make this very easy, everything else would be a total pain switching back and forth all the time, that would be crazy if people still used the switch to do agressive 3d.
doesn't the blade cp have an invert switch? my x347 does, but i never use it, does it flip the cyclic controls round so it is as if your flying the right way up?
no, i think that you are thinking of the idle up switch, which usually brings the blade pitch to 0 at mid stick, and increases the throttle, depending on how its programmed. The inverted switch reverses the cyclic, for inverted flying.
Just when I thought I'd seen crazy 3D . . . this is absolutely amazing. I can't even believe someone would TRY this (let alone succeed) in such a small space.
After he lands upside down how does the heli remain balanced and not tip over?? I have a gaui and no way it will stand up on its head with stock configuration
u r the man dude!!!!!

you've got safe space just a couple of yards ahead... what d'ya want to demonstrate, fying in the garage?
good luck (or lock...head lock... I'd say)
editing videos like that just push other people to the risk of severe injuries...

inverted switch is so 1982. i don't think anyone born after 1984 even knows what it is.
cudaboy1971 3 years ago
sure would make it easy to land on the ceiling though, did you know that 3d flying was originally called swichless inverted. well, now you do.
p.s. I dream about flying this well
