I've got a power chair that's made in China that can move sideways which I bought for less than a $1,000. It's a powerful 4WD and I enjoy its performance. I still like the concept of TracAbout, though. I've been visiting its site for a couple of years already, too. I wonder if you have seen the TankChair already?

Thanks John, I've been back (sadly) for a few months. I miss the south and I'd like to know where summer went here at home.

Cool video dude...I didn't know you could take a wheelchair in ocean water. I was always under the impression that salt water tends to ruin things...but that's great that you can get out there. Keep having fun !

This chair is built for these conditions. It's capable of being up to the top of the tracks in water without any damage. As long as everything gets washed down, cleaned and lubricated, it's all good. This chair shows less ill effects than my regular one after a Canadian winter :)
