It is common to speak bs english or bs japanese for guide vocals since there is no lyrics. (obviously bs Korean won't work)

As for pi being an octave higher, I think its actually performed on the same key as the studio version but I've never heard FTTS sing it live on the same key (always lower) as the studio version, its a very very tiring song to sing and even hwanhee misses that high shriek.
