i also drove from memphis, on my harley! we had a blast! sorry to tell you, the reason why rush doesnt come to memphis is the same reason why i had to drive to little rock ark to see metallica....the audience ain't there in the memphis area for rock and roll, in terms of large shows. sad but true. ALL the big rock shows hit nashville, VERY FEW hit memphis. do the math on the #s of country fans and rap fans vs rock in memphis, that's why.
Saw the show in lauderdale... Being in the biz, I've seen a million shows. Alex's guitar tones were SO amazing it was like the sweetest desert served right up for your ears! Unbelievably delicious!

I went to see them last night in Nashville and they rocked. They have quite a scence of humor with the videos before, during and even after the show. If you get the chance go see them. sorry guys, love you as much as anyone in the world, but this set-up was very weak compared to the monster sound Alex had for R30 and Snakes & Arrows. there's no way three 2x12 cabinets can push the amount of air and have the growl of eight 4x12 cabinets even if they're turned up louder. When you play or watch a bootleg from R30 or S&A you can just hear Alex in such a sweet spot in the mix and filling the bottom end, but in 2010 it was just plain missing in action even right at the stage.

Since there was no electricity or combustion engines, the idea is that these machines would be steam powered. Think of the giant robotic spider in the Will Smith version of Wild Wild West.

Just saw them last night in Chicago, and I had no idea that those were speaker cabinets! Wow! Excellent show -- if you're on the fence about this one, get out and see them. Their live performance of the two new songs was gigantic.
Can't believe those things are actually his cabinets... but this means that Alex's full speaker count for this tour is only 6 12's... before he had 3 full stacks counting at 24 12's!!! a huge down size!

All-in-All a very odd demo. They have a pair ot (hidden) H&K cabs and H&K dont even make speakers so it's like HUH? Where is the amp?
I LOVE my H&K amp I sold like every other effect I had since I got it. But speaker cabs ain't H&K's strong suit anyhow..
