*Sobs* I remember the awesome days of CVG....Great hometown airport......now it's a piece of crap...if it were delta's second hub, why did they abandon us? 2006, great year. We had terminal 1,2,3 open...Delta was living the dream, I still had my father......what happened to Cincinnati and Cvg!?!?!?!?!
Greta clip! Can't believe I just stumble across it..just a little to short on the ramp shots (which are gold)..but good to see when Dl brought the 777s into CVG along with AF's A340!
I worked at this airport all four years of high school... I heard that CVG is really shutting down... So sad... What an awesome set of buildings... Very beautiful and convenient.
It's name is actually the Greater Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport. Northern KY is a suburb of Cincinnati. The airport is located just across the river. Greater Cincinnati is a term that is used to describe all of the area around I-275 which is a loop highway that runs through OH, KY, and IN.
@bluepanther1011 I can't see how "Actually it is in Kentucky" has anything to do with my post...where I explained 1) The actual name of the airport 2) The fact that NKY is a suburb of Cincinnati and is just across the river from Cincinnati....how can anything in my post make you say "Actually it is in KY." No shit? Really?
I live near CVG!! Its nothin like this video anymore. Barely any 757's dont even fly hear no more. All the 767 Int'l flights got canceled. Except DL 43 from Paris. They kept that. Its actually just Connection Aircraft now that i see. And get a little lucky with Cargo Traffic, but i wish it could go back to seein alot more than just CRJ's & etc.
That airport is not utilized at all. Concourse c is closed. A is just there for employees and it's sad to see such potential go to waste. Dosnt help the economy sucks too
When was this video made? Notice they don't show Terminal 2? That's cause they built it in the 70's and never touched it again. The plaster ceiling is leaking and falling down.
It was a codeshare agreement between Air France and Delta, double dailies to Paris were operated in the summer. SABENA also served CVG with 747's and A340's to Brussels, but that was independent of SkyTeam and Delta, they caught a huge portion of the corporate traffic from P&G when their european headquarters were in Brussels.
Ya my mom was a pilot for delta and she got jipped of her retirement money. I remember the days when delta was actually a good airline before 9/11. It makes me so sad to think what has happened to this airline.
Now I'd like to see delta abandon Atlanta!

My dad is a pilot there for 20+years, if/when CVG shuts down we will be forced to move to detroit or he will have to commute. And that sucks.

I'm sad to see Delta steadily dehubbing CVG. I hope the trend reverses. It's a nice airport.

Air France served CVG with A340's? Was that necessary for SkyTeam?
