I think if they had brought the violin in where there's no singing later in the song. Sort of build it up the somberness and beauty with the vocals and acoustic, and then give em the knock out punch with the violin after the first chorus or so. I like it guys. I'd try recording it and see how it sounds. Very nice.

Both of their voices are very distinct, I'm not going to say that one is more than the other, but I've seen Tom petty jump around at like, 60 years old or whatever playing his guitar and belting out the lyrics, as opposed to mayer, in his 20's, sitting in a chair and delivering his breathy, unexciting version of a great song. Seriously, petty has more energy at 60 than mayer at 20.
