Is is the feeder you put up just for the squirrels?

The thing they're eating from used to be a satellite dish. I turned that into a bird bath. But I put dry dog food in it primarily for the squirrels. The blue jays like it a lot too. Initially I did to distract the squirrels from the bird seed feeders. But they still wanted the seed. I put up squirrel baffles on the feeders made from stove pipe and moved it out jumping distance from any trees. So far, so good. I've counted up to 8 squirrels at one time. There were only 3 or 4 today.

I love the sound effects, especially the "bionic" sounds. Man they are hilarious and so cute! Our squirrels are brown and we don't have as many. I might see one or maybe two at a time and mostly they are just passing through. So far they haven't even looked at my feeder.

My lawn monkeys. Yea, I had fun doing it. You watch for a little bit and they're cute. But you don't realize how much activity there is until you let the camera run for a bit.

Be glad the don't care about your feeder. Maybe they just haven't discovered it yet.

I would love to be able to sit and watch them play like that. The birds are pretty entertaining though. I'm learning the meaning of "pecking order" for sure! LOL I have like a zillion of those house sparrows and house finches, but still no other kind of bird. I'm gonna try to get my hummingbird feeders out today. In fact, I think I'll go set the syrup to boil now so it can sit and cool.

I don't think we have as many squirrels here so they aren't as naughty. I don't hear people complaining.
