hey bro .my friend hav gave me all ur video 2 months ago .i hav all watch and learned all u taught.now i get u in youtube.u inspire me a lot.i hav learned all basic but i cant make a long combo.i hav to perform a stage show .when i make a long combo its look very bad can u help me plz .plz contach with me at prem.thapa72@yahoo.com(i hav also learned all basic kick from u plz help)
Ugh, freaking light Bo staffs, fine you can come at me with that, just let me go grab my 2" thick, 6' full piece of ash wood. It's nice that you want to use a weapon that cannot do lasting harm, unfortunately that's not what Martial arts are for, specially the weapon forms.
@HaBlCoDr lasting damage...if i break your ribs and puncture your lungs or heart i dont think ur gunna recover, or a stab to the eye, good luck seeing. or a smash to the throat good luck breathing. just saying bo staffs correctly are murderous.
incredible instructions, thanks, have anybody tested MACs latest product line?? it is difficult to obtain good makeup in Adams yet i managed to recieve stunning cosmetics samples via "Gratis-Makeup-Samples", their cool.
@jacksonbaker94 it all depends on who makes it and wut kind it is like oak wood bo's cost a diff. amount then pine bo's ....and competition bo's cost diff. then wood bo's..i cud rage sum fom about $60 to about $120 i wud suggest a competition bo cuz wood ones warp easily
Technique is highly overrated. In order to truly become good at martial arts, you must train with a person who is actually trying to hit you (but in slow motion at first)
@TheIllusiveShadow They aren't racist. There's a complete obvious white guy doing bow staff and he has subtitles too. It's so people who don't speak English as well have two ways to understand what he is saying.
@hugz04drugz0 Are you retarded? Tournament weapon forms is basically just a show of who can pull the craziest moves while still maintaining their balance and technique on strikes and steps..
There's nothing practical about it... obviously if he's weapon sparring he's not gonna throw his bo...
Sport martial art and traditional martial art are two completely different things. Its like comparing apples and oranges because they're both fruit
This guy is a retard,And his staff sucks. He's able to swing it just becouse it is light,He wont gain any of that speed if i give him a 10 pound piece of an iron stick.
@mertyiM It's beginner bo staff. It's definitely a nice start. If people want real training they can go visit a real karate school and pay for it. This is a weaker yet still valid alternative.
Have any of you guys ever tried to perform bo staff techniques with a jo? It's a lil harder being that the jo is bigger in diameter and you can't get it to twirl between your fingers as opposed to a bo staff.
okay bud, whatever I'm just saying for fighting and training purposes. the old school staff is better in my opinion but it's just my opinion and that's all
i dont know why some of you complaining so much these are just basic forms without any action, this is not like the extreme martial arts if you know them
yeah, and when one of those spins hits you in the head going at about 60 mph, its gonna hurt, that right there is not a combat bo, that bo is probably about 9 oz's but if you get a good 15 oz combat bo, right to the dome, youll be out
I have seems some monks do forms that would make that seem like childs play lol, I think Ill practice the moves those monks do at lightning speed. It would have been better if you would have showed up a form at the end that way we would get a idea of how it looked without the slow down. Great Video Thanks!!!
ok i'm having trouble i have about 10 days now to create a form to earn my junior blackbelt and i'm having trouble making combos and picking the music can anypne please help me!? O_O

why would you let go of your staff for some little spin you could just hit it out of his hand and smash his head neck or groin with your staff

@obiwansbane actuary he would. they would be used to conused your emery and they allways keep there eye on the staff so the thorws put him off.

palkumchi 2 years ago
ok, he has a plastic staff. what i have is Oak which is much heavier. now when i see a wooden Bo then I'll listen.
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
the outside is plastic , a little bit metal , and the inside is wood , you need to pay attention -___-
GRBryann 2 years ago
so it's still smaller than the average Okinawan Bo Staff
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
same principles apply
sahcnam 2 years ago
yes but the bo that he uses is for sport karate not combat karate. I'm looking for Combat Karate
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
the video is about the technique, not the bo staff
sahcnam 2 years ago
That bo is wooden. It just has a graphite coating to look shiny. Yea, it weighs less, but different bos have different purposes.
GreenGold33 2 years ago
That's not plastic. In fact, it's better than wood. It's something that's used a lot nowadays. It's called "metal."
Cawmplihcayted 2 years ago
okay bud, whatever I'm just saying for fighting and training purposes. the old school staff is better in my opinion but it's just my opinion and that's all
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
These bos are not made of plastic. They're made of either wood or graphite.
dlstort3d 2 years ago
okay! i get it! but i'm saying that these won't stand up in a fight against a real bo staff, they're just designed to look pretty and that's it.
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
Can't argue with you there.
dlstort3d 2 years ago
so yeah, my whole thing, has been a misconception. I just mean that it's not a REAL bo staff. that's all
NeutralArtist94 2 years ago
Yeah, you're right. It's just kata. Good for form and practice. Nothing else.
dlstort3d 2 years ago
I am trying to get my hands on some bamboo and once i have i will cut it down and plug the ends with oak and stain the bo..

bo staff? that's like saying 6 foot stick staff (as opposed to a 4 ft stick staff). what the hell?

Usually they are 6 foot... I have a 6 foot bo staff, but if you are shorter \than I think theres a 4 foot staff
