its funny cause i live in DC and love bboying and all the korean bboy crews. i'm half-korean and go to annandale all the time to lotte and hmart to buy korean foods whenever my grandmother or mother can't send me any kimchee. so when i saw this i was like "man i am RETARDED" lol. i'll def check out the Korus website, thanks for the info!

so man...this is so weird remembering all these people, because now since rivers in mainstream...its like all these people who were doing their part for the hiphop movement is applying it for the culture. and they became apart of rivers crew.

and the DJ of the crew: DJ Wreckx, i soo remember this DJ like back in '98, because he did a dj battle against DJ Tommy (hong kong) and DJ Soulscape..with the group called Master Plan which was like BACK IN THE DAY...mannn it brings back memories...just listening to the scratch sounds and shit.. i wish i still had their albums but cant find them anymore...its been soo long. and now DJ Wreckx is a breakbeat dj for the crew, helping develop the hiphop/bboy culture..which is dope.

and the beatboxer of the crew: Beatbox Eunjun did a commercial with Last4One and Funtwo who played Canon..

he also did lots of talent shows on public korean television back in 2001 . i remember this as a young korean boy listening to korean music back in the day lol.

but coming to recollection. the emcee of the crew: Superman Ivy also known as Gaknakunae was a famous emcee who produced lots of solo albums before rivers ever came up to the surface, he did alot of shows with upcoming stars like Seoulstar and DJ Soulscape...and when i was a young lad prolly during 1998 i remember i was a fan of some of these affiliated artists he collabed with...makes me reminisce the good times buying cd's and just jammin on the mic freestyle . lol

its also funny cause rivers crew is now like this hiphop crew, theres not only a bboy crew, but they have sponsors, and a manager, and a DJ, and a beatboxer, and an emcee, and a representative agent.

ps: i was like kinda interviewing them at the show during their breaktimes lol.

i asked a bunch of questions. how much do they practice? what age did they start? and inspirations? etc.

some of them were..

"we practice 6hrs a day, everyday"

bangroc: "ive been breakin for 11yrs now"

born: "i started when i was 11yrs old."

dammmm no wonder they are so good...it makes me realize, that they arent human.

but as a suggestion it would be cooler if they had alot of different performances instead of just one, cause ive seen this same showcase performance worldwide thru bboyworld/youtube at many events like BOTY, korea shows, R16, etc.

but hey maybe they will spawn alot more performances in the near future.

but something i realized, at the korus festival they had to do 3 day shows, and it was the same performance, just a lil different in each one of them by adding slight different variations to the performance, but the performance was overall the same routine, performance was DOPE though i give them that, its a very good routine..puts the chills right in ur spine, gets u hyped. im not one to complain,

dayammm seein them in person was so much better, but watching this clip brings back memories and i still get hyped watching it.

not to make them look bad.but everyone of them in rivers crew is soo good. and they smoke, making me realize that anything can be possible just because of bad habits. and im really inspired and surprised that they just keep going for their full 10min performance, cause a good 10min show is madd tiring to do..so much respect to them.
