I saw the comment on 'kid'an mutuwa'. the name is really deep, literally its like 'the drumming of death', but I'm sure the piece has a completely different meaning to the Fulani whose music this is.
@anak1 that is correct, like Badra said it is completely different from what it is in Hausa. Seygalare is the best piece of Fulani folklore. It speaks of courage and how to be strong in the most demanding times.

Back home in Niger when ever you hear this music then you could assume that the is a coup d'etat in the country!! That is why we called the song of the death assuming that some people have surely died ...in the coup d'etat. Honestly i was spoked by this song...
