  • j ai connu ce groupe fin 70 debut 80, et leurs refrains resteront graves a jamais en moi , merci pour toutes ces emotions ...

  • any one got the chords? for guitar?

  • An incredible Band who never realy made the "big time" statues of the likes Genesis, Yes, E.L.P., P.Harum & the Moody Blues (of which they have many similarity but differece's) and many others....In my opinion they are amongsts the "greats".

"Mocking Bird" is a masterpiece of this greatly overlooked Band. IMO.

  • @Kristopful cant understand why so big in germany and not in england ,great band.

  • @Kristopful: Well said! My sentiments exactly.

  • @Kristopful This song is just epic! Like you said, a masterpiece, I don't understand why this band didn't make it big?

  • In Gedenken an den Unvergesslichen....Woolly Wolstenholme

  • awesome

  • RIP for me dad,

  • I've still got a 1.00 pound vinyl album I bought in Woolies called "Early Morning Onwards" which is full of great BJH songs, I wouldn't sell it for love nor money!

  • I saw them at Ally Pally July 73 and been a fan ever since.

  • My favourite band of all time.

  • Saw them at the Weely Festival about 70(?) Lots of bread and dripping !!! Freked my mate right out !!

  • @vicpur. was there.had a 40 peice orchestra with them,i was15 , 2nd at weeley only to king crimson .vickersable m/port

  • @vickersable Marc Bolan was pretty good!! After getting booed for going electric he wooed the crowd! Rod Stewart and the Faces in support!!

  • @vickersable

I remember the delay as they set up for the 40 piece orchestra. They put some amazing noise through the P.A. during the sound checks and then BJH came on with this number. Blew me away!

  • @Llamehtdos2 Was at Weeley too. Remember the crowd getting impatient and the TRex reaction. Anyone got any recordings from the festival? Those were the days...

  • @vicpur Remember it too. 1971. There's a load of info on the festival on-line but no sound or film. Any out there? Think it freaked most people out! Brilliant though.

  • Wow. Just, wow. Amazing stuff.

  • Lovely, really moving!

There is a nice chillout/dance version of it by Lemonmoon.

  • Eu hoje vou ter o prazer de assistir ao vivo a um concerto destes "dinossauros" da música!

  • Hav"nt heard this song for about 20 years brings back wonderful memories

  • Barbra, Elliot Park, Blackheath/Lewisham Borders, 1972, All night, forever, forever, You ever made love all night to one side of a vinyl album? Was good.

  • If you invite someone to dance on that song make the good choice because it lasts, lasts lasts...

But it's one of my favourite from this band

  • All I can say is this brings back vividly both Susan and Barbara. First Barbara, Elliot park, between Lewisham and Blackheath, record on constant repeat all night and me too. hazy, lazy sensual moments. I'll never forget. I took Susan to see BJH at ULU musta been about '71 or 72. Y'all ever wondered what came of those women you loved but let go? Such is life I guess. I still play this album, don't think anybody makes music like this anymore which is maybe or maybe not a shame. Like it.

  • I suppose the singer must be John lees.... I heard it sung by Les Holroyd in Geneva last August, it brought tears to my eyes to hear it sung live for the first time in my life, as I had bought the cassette 20 years ago just when my girl friend had left me...... the words 'bless the tears of love now gone' alternately soothed me or drove me mad......

I heard the song sung by Les Holroyd in Geneva last August, and it reminded me of when I had first heard the song on a cassette I had bought just after my girl friend had left me, and the words of the song, which speak about separation, alternatively soothed me and drove me mad..... it brought tears to my eyes to hear it sung live for the first time in my life!

  • dream

  • its in your head

    Es ist in deinem Kopf

    never vorget it

    vergess es nicht

  • I have followed BJH since leaving school and still do to this day 30+yrs on now we have jlbjh anf bjhflh both still bjh in my eyes still as good as ever R.I.P Mel

  • we ran out of petrol 12 miles from home on the way home from a gig of theirs in the late 70s. Would the police be so helpful now?

The years heve not done them any harm...wish the same was true for me!

  • Reply no 2 to fjujuul: No offence to The Stones or anybody else who ages with grace. BJH belong to this group of musicians - they play better than they did 30 years ago simply because they have more routine and experience. Simple as that, just like old fine wine.

  • Reply to fjujuul: Have you taken a good look at The Stones lately?

  • Das war richtig gute Musik damals!

    Aber vom feinsten!!

Und ich habe sie damals 1985 live erlebt!!

  • Schade, dass sie sich getrennt ahben.... das war einfach genial!

  • They got old...

  • Reply to fjujuul Have a good look in the mirror Don't worry about anyone else.We are all in a head long race to the Cemetery. But anyway gee this is a beautiful song

  • That vocal down't sound what I remembered.

  • I saw them in Lisbon last friday (JL-BJH). Like we use to say "is like Porto wine", just gets better with age...

  • bolas... não pude ir...

  • mixing classical with rock is the ultimate in music. after first hearing the moodies/BJH at a girlfriends house, metal died and so did our relationship. That was in 73, the music still is wonderful....

  • Maybe you should stick to Hanah Montana

  • Inesquecíveis, eternos e intemporais...!

  • eins der besten lieder die ich je gehört habe

  • Got their ' Live' album back in 1974, liked this track and 'For no one' great band which never reach the heights of Zep and Purple, but brilliant all the same.

  • Einfach genialer Song. Wunderschön........

  • catchy, i never heard of these guys untill a friend sent me a link, i like it...

  • I've came across this band almost by accident!I was studying in Hamburg in 1991 (I think)and they played there. I was sitting by the window inmy room in the students hall when the concert began in the park! got so curious I've bought one of their albuns. Love them! You cannot imagine how sorry I am not having been there in the park! This song takes me to another dimension...I forget everything around me "twilightish"!!

  • One of the best 20 songs since 1955...

  • I SO agree!!!!!

  • I saw them 3 times during the 70's and have always admired greatly what they do...the best I saw was at the Weeley Festival, out there doing it live....night time, lights, thousands of people in awe..

  • is a super band allever

  • WOOOPS..I think it was Weeley festival NOT Bardney..grey matter is turning mouldy now it seems..

  • Was at the height of an acid trip when they played this at Bardney festival...not much else to add other than it is 'pure love'...

  • Wow what a coincidence!!! I was in your acid trip too!! Far out!

  • Best of Rock !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Pfarrer

  • Bless the tears of love now gone

  • Bless the tears of love now gone

  • one of my favourites! This song is beautiful!

  • one of my best songs

  • there is asong by bjh, i dont know the name but i do know some line please somone out there know what it is ive searched but failed here is the lines. the sand moved faster than the lite, or the lightning in his eyes . thats all i know and this could be wrong but bjh, fans should know what it is . i think it was on best ov bjh . thanks 2any1 who can help.

  • Medicine Man is the song steven.

Didn't anybody see his hand move faster

Than the lightning in his eyes

Oh! what a cold surprise the flying horses cried

  • Love BJH - saw them live in '76. My only criticism is that this song hits the heart but you look at their expessions at time 5.22 - 5.28 and they look like its just another gig. Song's like that should never be played without emotion doesn't matter how many times the group has performed it.

  • One of the best songs ever written!

  • It is one of the greatest songs of BJH. Normally it was sung by Woolly, but John did it very clever here in 1992! Remarkeble Song : THE BJH Song!!!! 1971......Thank you again red baron!!!

  • I have been making in the last months my own list of the best 100 songs since 1955. I think that this song belongs to the top 20. Like an old wine it lasts through the decades with its lyrical force. A great masterpiece!

  • I'd love to see the list when completed.

I think you'd have to put Poor Man's Moody Blues in there.

  • List is ready by 95%. I will send you soon. There is no time left since work nowadays has become so demanding. Hope you are well...

  • Probably the best song of BJH... So pure even here on video in 1992! Thank you redbaron

  • Beautiful!

    Bow to the ground!

  • Old is not classic just for being old

Here is the proof, like a sanmwich of spam in white bred

  • BJH....no words except brilliant...love their stuff. so artistic.

  • In 1971,I played in a band called Heavy Rain, from Blackpool. We supported Barclay James at the "Amerthyst"in Preston.,they performed this track amazingly.Second on the bill was a band from Preston based band, Stoned Rose, later to become "Ritzi". I joined in 1974, and we are still together, gigging and recording. This song is special for many reasons,I met my future wife at that gig and 37 years later we're still together. Its her fav song. Phil FREE July 2008

  • beautiful song! It has once appeared in a Rock Classic collection. I could have listened it for hours!

Today I have listened it again after 9 years. It has always been in my head all these years...

  • holy crap im 14 and i absolutly LOVE this band/song. im trying to tell my friends this is the only good music youll ever hear. there all in love with that jonas brother and hannah montanna crap ugh i cant stand n e thing like that. magnifacent(cant spell) MUSIC

  • Good for you!! :) Keep it up.

  • I'm 38 , from Greece ,l never had the chance to see them live , but I'm glad that there is still an audience following them. It proves that time is the only judge and determines whose music was really classic and whose was phony and typically modern. BJH definitely belong to the first case.
