Great, great! I've done a stage with him and he's clever and he has a fantastic way of teaching. He has a great attention and control of the student and ask him the same.
Congratulations and good luck for all you're going to do.
Apparently that is not true, and the film 'The Secrets of Tone Production on all Bowed String Instruments' will be ready for sale by the middle of March 2010. The editor of the film has said that most people start off making short films and work up, over the years, to their epic, but that SF has begun with his epic...hence the delays due to the size of the project. But apparently it is almost done...nearly there...FP
okay, so when you're doing this exercise, going forte-piano-forte-piano, how are you putting the weight into the bow? my teacher said that the first finger of your bow hand should never be applying the weight, so i was wondering where it's supposed to come from! is it all an arm thing?
Well I think it;s supposed to come from the index finger??? I may be misinterpreting ym teacher, but she gives me a bow exercise where I bow on one string for 8 beats, sequentially taking off my fingers until the thumb and the index are left holding the bow. The trick is to maintain a forte and legato sound. So i guess the power should come from the remaining fingers?
March 2010? April 2010? May 2010? ---March 2012? I might not have long to watch it if the Mayans were right.

@taiwan886 Thanks! In fact, the film is being authored right now, and then on to replication.
