i have been a fan since high school. music was beautiful back then, i feel sorry for today's youth. they cannot go back and remember all the wonderful memories of that era and the music associated with it. ROCK ON FLEETWOOD MAC!

@vakantieland4 - actually it is documented by Stevie that this song is about Lindsey. She said that she still LOOKS UP WHEN YOU (LINDSEY) WALKS IN THE ROOM and other comments refer to Lindsey.
This song is amazing <3! If you love Stevie Nicks like I do, go on to Facebook and Like the page "Get Stevie Nicks on Oprah: The Farewell Season", or write to Oprah via email requesting it, and spred the news about it! Come on, let's get our Idol on Oprah!
@MrTedrow - No it's not - this song is about Lindsey as she has confirmed in one of her interviews regarding the meaning behind her songs. She said she wrote this about Lindsey after their split because she "still looked up everytime he walked in a room and said Hi" etc etc.
Just curious, has anyone in the band ever commented publicly on Carol Ann's book? Cuz she makes some explosive accusations in that book, especially toward Lindsey.
Yeah John's bass line in awesome.... however everything about this song is amazing!! would die to hear this on tour now!!! this song and SOTM. THAT would be brilliant!
I read the book "Storms" by Carol ann Harris - Lindsey's girlfriend at this time - and she states that Stevie wrote this song for Mick ....who knows ??.....awesome song no matter what - I wish they would play it on tour !!!
I was very dissappointed in her book...... i am just patiently waiting for Stevie or even Lindsey to write a book - though it is fun to guess what their songs are about, i would love to know straight from them - their story - as only they can tell it..... i read Mick's book - its very good !!
I'll pick up Harris's book if I accidently run across it in the library or the thrift store. Even before I'd read the bad reviews of it, I just had a vibe that she was trying to cash in on her former relationship with Lindsey. Pathetic, really. I did love Mick's book though! I know Stevie has talked in interviews about a memoir...but I have to admit, I hope some of the mystery of her songs stays intact...that's part of the fun, in my opinion. :D
i love fleetwood mac an hate how pepl hav to go on about the drugs an crap WHO CARES!! They were one of the biggest bands of their time and their music will b around for years to come.. guys get over it aye its soo pathetic, they are legends and always will be !! and i no id b findin it hard to sing songs about pepl u shared so much with n loved, im glad now they have all gottn over the heartache!! 19yrs young an will always b a huge LINDSEY BUCKINGHAM FAN!!
Also a very important thing to know is that Fleetwood weren't the only band out there into drugs. Fleetwood Mac was is and always will be one of the greatest bands of all time Stevie and Lindsey will always rock.
Lol, I have to laugh at Stevie's reaction to Lindsey. It's like,'Eh hello? I'm singing here!' and you just know Christine is just off to side thinking, 'They're at it again...'
The tempo is waaaaaaaaaaaaay too fast. It steamrolls over the tension and beauty of the studio track. And Stevie's voice is already going, that growly scream... her voice is not strong, not like Janis's, who was her idol. Still, this version rocks.
Stevie is 31 here. Janis died on her 27th. What would have been left of her voice four years later?
Well, whatever. Janis was her heroin (pun intended),but Stevie always had her own style. She maybe copied Janis' intensity, but never her voice: let's be fair, Stevie's voice stands on it's own and needs no comparison.
During the tusk recordings their secret afair had broken up and Stevie was finding it difficult to cope with having to see him all the time and pretend that nothing was wrong between them even though he had left her to go out with a good friend of hers, Sara Recor.
IMO Nicks was at her absolute peak during the Tusk era, both album and tour...all of my favorite live versions of every one of her songs up to that point in time come from this tour (bar "Rhiannon", that was still best in '75-'77), her vocals were *very* strong on things like this and "Sisters Of The Moon" and her wardrobe was at its most tasteful and colorful. The coke wasn't yet a problem, although both her and Lindsey don't make any attempt to hide it here...
WOW, this is the bomb. Thanks so much for posting this. Do you have any more of this show that you can post? Do you know where it was filmed at? THANKS AGAIN!!!!!
This may just be my all time favourite Fleetwood Mac song, it's between this and The Green Manalishi...

Truly they are the tightest live band I've ever seen.. even Floyd and Zeppelin is a wasted, tripping mess in concert; but these guys never fuck up.
