@Crkt4Eva Seems to work with me, though now it doesn't make any difference, as I think the player setting goes to the highest quality by default. It didn't at the time this was uploaded.
@nincritzu It was BC = Between Clarkson actually. The first version of the show began in 1977, and Clarkson joined in 1988, becoming a regular presenter in 1989. He left the original in 1998 I think, ratings sunk for the original version because he left, it was sold to Channel Five (but the name had to be changed as "Top Gear" is BBC copyright) and the BBC relaunched the show after Clarkson and the new versions' first producer pitched the new version of the show to the BBC.
i do like the tune from this era - and this is the best actual titles of this era - the current titles are amazing though and make it look soo much more interesting
I am nearly 100% certain that it would have been an outside contractor (though I don't know exactly who) who created this for the BBC because the BBC Radiophonic Workshop (who would have created electronic music such as this - their most famous music being the original Doctor Who theme) was closed the previous year in March 1998
@AidanLunn I Didn't Know that, I Thought the "BBC-Radiophonic's Workshop" Was Still going,
A Great Shame if their not, They Did Quite Amazing Works with just Household Bit's & Bob's in that Emitable British Style, The Doctor Who Theme for example was a Door Key Being Scraped along the Wire's of an old Piano.
Then Again Even the Global Giant the BBC make's Bad Call's Sometimes,
Not Keeping Jaime Oliver When he Started Advertising for "J Sainsbury"
That was the beginning of the episode, with quentin wilson's report starting there. Don't forget, this is "old" top gear and not the new version we have today. I don't know what the report was about as I don't have the episode.
@cvrmaniac No. There were no challenges in the old version of Top gear, just car reviews. Very much like Fifth gear without commercials. and with a loud-mouthed ego on its presenting team.
What happens when the man eats the sandwich

Holy shit this sounds great! They should keep the intro video we have now and just stylize it up a bit with this song!

They need to bring this theme version back.

@PiePwnz It was 1999. Online sources state it, and I did have the episode until I accidentally threw it out. It said "MCMXCIX" - 1999.

@sonicadx Yeah, but why?
What's the point in posting a random comment about his face when it has nothing to do in the slightest about the video?
