  • Americans simplify. The higher passé makes it easier to do more pirouettes, not more difficult. They have changed ballet from what it was intended.

  • @balletomain

Stop commenting on any ballet videos in general, you talk shit from your asshole and are rude to others to make yourself feel better. If you were any good at ballet, you would be teaching or performing it, not slamming young dancers over the internet. Fucker.

  • Anyone who says ABT is better that the Kirov is a complete joke. The Kirov is classical ballet in its truest form. If you have no respect for anything but tricks that change the art form then go do what you call dancing and see where it gets you. The low arms and low passé are obviously a stylistic preference. It is classical ballet in it's purest form.

  • I can not believe this!

  • I love how old school this is :) it just tells me to respect it her even more cause she has more experience doing things in her little pinky than us ballet dancers have put together haha

  • THE BEST

  • her turns are impeccable!!!!

  • Well triples with your arms low and you passe mid-calf isn't that impressive, especially when you fall out of half of them as doubles and singles. Gillian wins for this one.

  • I don't know why but i don't really like it.

@ kraballet24: you're absolutely right, ABT is much better! and yep she fell and i noticed it straightaway, it makes the whole thing even more... blurred.

  • yeah im not really that big a fan of kirov i mean they are great and all but i fell ABT and Royal are better

  • Did anyone besides me notice how she fell off one of her pirouettes at about 1:03?

I liked it, but i also prefer arms in 5th. Sorry, but in my opinion, ABT wins on this one.

  • i love her turns

  • hi do u have this on mp3?? please reply me xD

  • me too O.O

  • Many thanks for the names - Wonderfull work - i love it

  • oh, wow - did you see where her bourees exactly matched the triplet figure in the orchestra? all 3 are awesomely beautiful, strong, and musical. epaulement is exquisite. kirov is without equal.

  • strong dancers who are they?

  • This is Irina Chistyakova of the Mariinsky/ Kirov, she was a ballerina there from the late 70s to the mid 90s and was known for her variations. The 2nd one is Veronika Ivanova and the 3rd is Zhanna Ayupova.
