Breakup means breakup. Go clean with it. To be friends again, it takes time. And we need to consider the reasons of the breakup so we can decide that we should be friends again.
i really want to be friends with my ex and he was my best friend but we went out then broke up today and he broke up because of my other ex was telling him bad things about me so yeah i dont wanna loose the perfect friendship, what do i do?
everytime i would get into a relationship, the exes would "claim" that their just "friends" but really its drama bc its disrespectful for the future partner you actually want to settle down with later on. its always best to let the ex stay in the past bc you will NEVER know when your love one will come into your life. it'll be akward for you to explain why you are still friends with your ex.

I have to agree with Tamsen on this one. I have plenty of ex girlfriends that I remain close with. Sure the romantic relationship break s down but the platonic aspect is still there if the split was mutual.
