Gary seemed a bit preoccupied with the group Japan at this time in his career. Having read Mick Karns book he was also a bit of a stalker of the band! I'll sit back and wait for the Numanoids to let rip!

@bassatnight No ripping. Japan was at the top of their game at this time and the combining of the Karn bass with Numan's unique electronic sound was untouchable. Still sounds unreal in 2010.

I love Music For Chameleons (and indeed the whole album and the magnificent b sides), but with a 1 minute instrumental intro even on the single mix its little wonder the single charted so poorly.

Had he chosen Noise Noise instead though ...
