You must have a very interesting calendar to criticize the Conservatives. The lie-berals did not do anything for 13 years with a majority gov't; yet, you expect the Conservatives to clean up their mess after less than 2 yrs in a minority. Please, drop your bias and, "Stand up for Canada!"--not lie-beral entitlements. The environment is too important.
I don't support the Liberals either, but you use the same anti-logic that I outlined above. Also, thanks for the dose of 'stand up for Canada' rhetoric. It's almost as tired as the NDP's 'working families' shtick.
An environmental initiative previously announced by Harper was quietly canceled in the more recent budget. Same old, same old.
"anti-logic"--you have got to be kidding! I have been Standing up for Canada for years--strange how left-wingers only want to stand up for themselves...isn't it?
New, exciting initiatives, honest gov't, end of entitlements...how can any non-bias individual say, "same old, same old". Frankly, they can't!
Yes, anti-logic. I said you can't blame the Liberals for the Conservatives not doing anything on the environment or climate change file, and in response you criticized the Left.
I see a government that broke a promise on income trusts (look for those youtube vids my friend) and that has controlled it's party and this country from the top down. So much for transparency and accountability.
The old line parties are giving us the same old stuff election after election. Dig a little deeper, mike.
Oh wow...so interesting. Let us see, lie-beral broken promises, GST elimination, tear up the FTA, Child Care, Honest Gov't, etc, etc.. If you want to go to the NDP-look at Bob Rae as Premier of Ontario. Looks like a 95% score for the Conservatives is far better tha, what, 50% for the others? Who could argue? Wake up little grasshopper.
Harper & Baird need to stop blaming someone else, own up to their own shortcomings, and actually DO something. For all the spin we've heard I've seen no real action taken on the environment. I have a feeling that they actually don't get that taking care of the environment in a sustainable way is actually GOOD for our economy.
Isn't it interesting, all those that lecture us about what is good for the economy have never run a business? Left-winger, professor Suzuki making his environmental buck, lawyer Dion--also a former university professor, oh my and Iggy??!! Time for the end of ivory tower thinking and let us continue to keep things moving!
Many who lecture on what is good for the economy have run successful businesses. Are you trying to tell us that all people on the Left of the political spectrum have no business experience? I won't try to say that every person who is 'Right wing' has never run a business, or is mean, or whatnot. That would be silly faulty logic.
That sort of closed mindedness is what's keeping people from seeing the fault of all the political parties, no matter if they're left or right wing.
Frequently used left-wing tactic...extend the point of the opponent beyond anything they said and attack its premise...called setting up a straw man. Why are left-wingers like this?
Base your agruements on facts, not emotion, it will get you further.
Question: If this environmental "kick" is so good for business, why don't all businesses pursue the Kyoto manta now so they can make more money....interesting paradox for you, isn't it?
Harper on the Environment??? This Government is so BIG on environmental issues it has frozen the budget of the Canadian Wildlife Service at a time when climate change is detrimental to already endangered species. I guess once again if we don't see it there is no problem, after all Polar Bears can't vote eh, Mr.Harper.
Bair likes to take questions and spin his answers so the liberals always come out 'wrong'.
Q: Baird, why did Canada get hammered so bad in Bali at the climate talks?
"Oh, you know, the liberals haven't done anything for years..."
Fair enough, but c'mon now, neither have you, and the question is why are YOU making us look so bad???
