I think game companies shy away from making a game about WW1 because it was literally hell on earth, and i don't think they would wish to force that upon a predominantly immature audience who gets cheap thrills. InfinityWard recently went out of their way to create more realism in Black Ops and World At War, but even then, its been made unrealistic to a degree for a reason. If we had a WW1 simulator, i think many gamers would be disgusted, it was called The War to End All Wars for a reason guys.

@killu19 Yeah i get you, in many respects WW2 was worse, i mean its the bloodiest war in the history of the world, and we saw some terrible things happen in there. But although games have tried to capture it like World at War giving you a somewhat realistic take, even then it is greatly romanticised. I mean, you would hardly want to play a Holocaust or Hiroshima simulator would you. Neither war was worse than the other, but people drowned in Mud in WW1 and were gassed to death. It wasn't pretty.

@BrotherHugo500 The best explanation is that World War II was worse for civilians, while World War I was worse for soldiers. Since most of the war games focus on the soldier's point of view, I think a World War I game would be extremely brutal. It seems that a lot of game companies are shying down from making World War I games because no one's stepped up to make a decent one. Maybe someday someone will step up and make an awe inspiring World War I game, so gamers can see an artist's rendition.

I think a wwi game that is more like a thirdperson action shooter would suit wwi better, with GoW moves and such, taking cover and dashing from crater to crater, infiltration, tunneling war and close quarter fast as fuck méele/ shart distance shooting. Alot could be done, and there is alot to tell. The drum fire effect when a thousand guns opened fire simultainously, and the birth of the stormtroopers where the handgrenade where the most imortant weapon.

Even the menus look and sound the same as PK.

Only real downfall of the game is the HORRIBLE voice acting as was mentioned before.
