udhlplayer, FYI, you just can't walk into best buy and buy it. It was never released in the US and I think it never will be, which sucks because the US don't ever get any good shit. And when they do, it's an antique that's already been out in Japan for 4 or 5 years. Well, I guess stuff like this happens because the US likes to ban so much shit and because they think it will not sell.

The program is called Mapthis. Its free for the PSP, and you need a GPS addon for for the psp, its not built in. Sony makes one, the PSP 290 which in my experience, works alot worse that the other ones that work in Mapthis. I myself use the holux gpslim 236. Its not hard to do if you have like 60 bucks for the receiver and you do a bit of reading on the deniska forums.

If you already have a PSP you can get GPS for under $100.

You don't need to have a GPS receiver to use the program, it's an excellent map viewer on it's own.

yah i need help.. but i think we can't solve this problem.. cos my problem is my firmware.. my firmware is 3.50 already... not a costum firmware so theres no way i can use my GPS.. but i found brand-new psp on e-bay for about 159 bucks! and they offer free upgrades like 3.03 oe-a or anything.. hahaha so maybe i'll just buy one again since i have this GPS stuff..

lol. on Deniska's PSP, u need to have 3 or 4 programs to able to get the maps on PSP. U need to join some site to download 2 of the programs and it costs money to join. Just goto the site and they tell u the file name, copy and paste that into yahoo and u can download it from fourms n that lol its quite good. I got mine working, all i need is the GPS reciver (i should get it in 4 to 5 days)See if u couldnt get them or etc, e-mail me or i can send u them. In 9 hours. Im going to bed :P.

Hey deniska... you should post a video on how you install the gps program onto your psp. step by step shown on the computer.. I know its going to be a lot of work but it would be very helpful for some newbies because reading the instruction how to do it may sometimes be too confusing

dude, this is real. the module costs 25 dollars i think, and its originally for plugging into a laptop. what he did is he cut open the cable and soldered the wires to the opened psp remote. that enables the gps to send/recieve data to/from the psp. the program he is running was i thnk hand coded by him. you can download it now tho. its about 50 bucks and about 2 hours of time to get that goin. although the actual sony gps model may be coming to america now. its already released in japan.
