When you start making rules freedom is lost. The limitations on the number of words for posts is arbitrary. The banning of posts "with an agenda" is, in itself, an agenda because it must be judged from a particular perspective. How is this democracy?
@mistymountain1000 A blog is a person perspective. You do get to set the rules. If your blog is a free for all types of comments ok, that is cool. There is no obligation to even have comments. For some types of blogs moderation is necessary for their communities. No one has no obligation to accept a 1000 word manifesto of how rotten they think you are posted 10 times.
@Compumavengal If rules are needed for public discourse, censorship endorsed, and blogs moderated, there will be no chance for the evolution of democratic and diverse discourse as is the stated goal from viewing a couple of the videos here. Democracy requires first and foremost free expression. Private blogs are a different matter, but that is not the topic here (but rather a diversion).
@mistymountain1000 We are probably not going to agree on this. Even in a democracy there are rules i.e. no yelling fire in a crowded theater as a joke. It is one thing to have an counter opinion. The ladies are for the expression of contrary points of view. Can't remember if it is in this clip or another. If the discussion is about school reform why should someone be allowed to posed bible tracks on the submission of women?
