  • Perfect phrasing. Thank you !!

  • @jhofmann33

...and thank you for your generous comment...

  • Nice work.

  • @pausengogolfing

I'm glad you enjoyed this piece. And I hope it won't be too long before I can enjoy golf once again...I've spent far too much time away.

  • lovely playing, phrasing especially.

  • @PaulBartonPiano

Thank you for the attention to my phrasing. In my mind, the phrasing of a music piece is just like the phrasing of a Shakespearean monologue. All the acting skill and physical presence in the world cannot save one who does not put the inflection precisely where it needs to be, or who speaks his part even a bit too fast.

  • Hello. No, the translation is right! I'm german. But some of the other english translations are not exact. I record the complete Kinderszenen in the moment.

    Thank you.

    Best regards,

    Markus

  • @clavis55

Thank you for your input, Markus. The translations on the score did not seem correct so I went to the German-English dictionary instead.

I look forward to your Kinderszenen recording...

  • @MellowCypriot

I recently recorded No. 1-9. I hope i can all upload soon. :-))

Actually, it should be "of" (in the sense of "about"), and I think I would prefer "lands", if "countries" did not scan better. As a matter of interest, what is the translation on the score ?

  • @ProPianoHamburg

Thank you for the translation help. My score reads 'Von Fremen Ländern und Menschen,' translated on the sheet 'From Foreign Parts.' It was clear to me that something was missing...

  • nice movie and color, nice playing

  • @sylsof

Thank you...maybe I have a future as an amateur cinematographer too. I'm glad you like the playing.

  • Very nice, thank you for sharing this. I would endorse most of what z1Amii said, but take it easy - it is an art to play a simple piece with simplicity. Looking forward to the other 22 instalments !

  • @ProPianoHamburg I complete agree, of course, with ProPianoHamburg... didn't mean to sound overly critical. I personally almost find complex songs easier to play than simple songs. It takes such a fine ear and fine technique to capture simplicity. Chopin's "Raindrop" prelude was one of the hardest songs I performed last year -- so hard to keep it interesting yet simple.

  • @ProPianoHamburg

Thank you for your comment. You're right, it is not an easy thing to make a simple piece sound truly effortless. I hope you enjoy the newest pieces, as well as the ones to come.

  • @MellowCypriot

I did not mean "with simplicity" in the sense of "effortlessly" (presumably anyone with any accomplishment can do that) but "in the simple spirit of a child" and without making it appear boring. I have listened to and enjoy all your pieces, but note that you haven't kept it up !

  • @ProPianoHamburg

Very true about the idea of "effortlessly." I should not have used the word so freely. But I understand, something 'simple' often appears easy and effortless, much in the way that children behave. Their actions and emotions are more straightforward and pure.

It is encouraging to know that you are watching and enjoying my music; if you go to my YouTube home page you will find the last three day's pieces on the upper right. I still have 19 days to go!

  • nice playing.

I love the coffee cup in the view :)

  • @msenin

I'm glad you like the accessories...and the music too.

  • very nice my friend :) keep it up ;) thumbs up!!

  • @ioAMOilPIANOFORTE

Thank you for your encouragement, I'm glad you like it...

  • I like how you chose a gentle, easy-to-like piece to start off your 23-piece release. You capture the innocent, cheerful atmosphere of the piece. My only recommendation would be to play repeat phrases differently -- either louder, softer, more intense, less intense, etc. Last comment... do you drink out of the teacup between takes? :P

  • @z1Amii

Thank you for the recommendations. I'll have to think them over for next time...

And: of course I drink from the teacup! I only had 2 nights to record and I usually played until around 5a with little sleep, so I needed all the caffeine I could get.

  • Ni ce playin like it

  • @kideyedm

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoy.
