I would say that probably fifa 2008 is better than pro evo 2008.

But as for Fifa 2009 and pro evo 2009 (i have both on pc) i would def say pro evo 2009 is more fun to play. all the goals in fifa 2009 seem the same. I love the become a legend mode in pes 2009, the licenced teams is no prob now with the patches.

Fifa Pros: Better Colour, the players movements are better than pes, the referee really participate, you can control the strenght and direction for short and long pases or set on automatic, all the teams are licensed

Pes Pros: The menus are much better than fifa, you can do sustitutions without enter the "formation settings", change the shooter on a free kick or corner is very easy and quick, the data almacenation let's you choose your saved settings easy. I have the two games and pes IS BETTER

nah PES 2007 in japan had a "be a legend mode" called "fantasista mode" on the ps2. So fifa borrowed the idea for fifa 08.

but def agree on you that both games are good in its own way. FIFA always had the licenses/graphics(except for the faces) and PES had the gameplay (my opinion.)

but now its seems both are on the same level with FIFA having the edge.

hamitshow?! must be playing on the wii, the ps3 graphics for the fifa 09 are a hellofalot better than pes 2009. i got both versions,the biggest difference its not gameplay,but the graphics,from face maping to the overall design,the boots on the players on 09 are miles ahead of the boot graphics on pes, when u score pay attention to that you'll se that on pes the players look like they're wearing sandles not boots.also that damn radar can't be deactivated,why? it's annoying

I have both and i have to say this comment is perfect.

I dont feel either of the games are that great - and unfortunatly football games seem to be going backwards and if people love either i think their standards are too low.

My problem is Fifa is slow and unreponsive and you dont truely feel in control, im thinking 3 steps ahead of what i can actually do and it plays sluggishly.

That said PES online doesn't work and it lacks a lot that Fifa has - if only you could combine the two!

FIFA has always had better graphics and better detail. PES has always been focused on technical gameplay. Harder to get into, but it's more rewarding.

Also, keep in mind that a lot of FIFA's graphics are the bloom and color filters. That's why everything is so shiny - including the players.
