thinking of buying either the 5800 or a N97 mini. Not sure yet, the 5800 is ofc alot cheaper and still quite similiar. What I like about the N97 is the keyboard and the 5 mpix camera. Also it has a longer battteri time :P

@freshstef2k7 5800 and n97 are very similar, the n97 has the keyboard, but i have heard is a little more prone to crashes. I have the 5800 and once you update it becomes a pretty awesome phone. Use Opera as your browser, so its 1 touch to zoom any part of the web page, and 2 touches to zoom out. Updates also bring kinetic scrolling like the ipod's have, so you just flick up and down, but you can still use the slider to the side.

The apps are great. only lackin feature is multitouch.

i have nokia 5800 and im pretty satisfied.. good sound quality but the speaker sound very low.. short battery duration for a music player cellphone.. good camera resolution and display.. 4 stars cellphone (in a 5 points scale)

I have the Nokia N85 at the moment, I've had it for the past week, but I'm sending it back as the slide has started to rattle already and the speakers are terrible. I compared it to my two year old K850i a few days ago and it was so much better, clear bass and you can hear the lyrics perfectly on all songs, unlike the N85.

iv used both, both have a good touch screen. i own the 5800 but woudl probably have both the n97 had it been out at the time. but now after using the OVI store and downloading some apps and updating my firmware its really quick and great to use.

i recommend either one, but the n97 has a physical qwerty keyboard and bigger screen. id say its a winner for those reasons.

(as for iphone, whats the point in it. the ovi store offers alot of the same apps. and these phones do everything.)

The points to keep in mind are:

1) N97 expands to 48Gb max and 5800 expands to 24Gb

2) N97 has 5Mp camera with dual flash and 5800 has 3.2Mb

3) N97 looks nicer and less plastic made than 5800

I just pointed those out for those trying to decide, again as mentioned before this comparison is pointless because N97 is a higher model and just an improvement over the 5800 hence the higher price tag, overall both phones are great and are definitely better than the iPhone lol.
