I knew Martin for about 15 years off and on. We were friends and shared mixes when I was on the radio. In short, I think I wanted to be him when I was on the air. The sad truth is that Martin enjoyed this lifestyle and enjoyed it hard. He never allowed himself to grow up and I think what killed him was this very fact. He didn't know where to go with his older self. A lesson for all of us really. He was a good man and a good friend. I hope you have you peace now Martin.

This man was probably the best thing that happened to Canadian Radio. I just wanted to clarify for everyone that his suicide had nothing to do with him being let go from the Edge. He was fired because they were restructuring the station and he was unfortunately the one to be let go along with Barry Taylor. He was totally fine with getting fired and he had many things lined up for him in the future. I loved Martin along with the rest of you, and we have to respect his decision. Rest in peace.
