Sucks to see that happen but I think he'll he back he has a great style to watch, great balance and power, but all credit to Rubio, he had the perfect gameplan to fight Lemieux, relaxed early, tried timing him with a jab, once Lemieux got a bit tired his punch wasn't as strong he started letting his right hand go more. man i used to watch those instructional videos with Abner when Lemieux was a kid. Sucks to see that happen but I think he'll he back he has a great style to watch, great balance and power, but all credit to Rubio, he had the perfect gameplan to fight Lemieux, relaxed early, tried timing him with a jab, once Lemieux got a bit tired his punch wasn't as strong he started letting his right hand go more. Not many guys would have been able to execute that plan. Rubio had too much experience.

@EPmassive I agree. There is no resaon why Lemieux can't learn from this. He has heavy hands, decent hand speed... needs to work on defense, pacing, and controlling the distance. He's a small guy for middleweight, so he has to be all the way out or all the way in. Hanging around the end of Rubios punches was a big mistake. But like you said, he's good enough to learn from this and come back. And he's young. Most guys lose a fighter here or there on the way up. Doesn't mean anything.
