  • i double fried my chips and they were perfect

  • so easy i am definitely try it i really love fish and chips they are my favorite munchy food

  • awesome . can;t wait to try this! this guy is great!

  • check the exp date and also see if it comes from CHINA. I would also rinse my fish first. This fish recipe looks good. I will try this!! I hope I can find that brand of beer.

  • @gayle2020 Any beer should work.

  • I love your videos, and you seem like a nice person.

  • The Newspaper is the most important step on this recipe :)

  • try peeling the potatos next time

  • @bnscountryboy With or without peels is still good :-P

  • omg, it sounded so crispy when you bit into it, it almost sounded like sound effects, LOL

  • any man that cooks with PBR is a bad ass cook in my book

  • you're funny :)

  • We just had this for dinner tonight. The family just loved it,said it was awesome. the first fish kinda came apart when i tried to -fish- it out with tongs, but by the 3rd fish I had it down pat. Thanks for the recipe and tips. How about some Tomato Basil soup for the next video?

  • Sounds good, but I'm a recovering alcoholic. So is it ok to cook with alcohol? I don't want to freak my family out, so i probally get just one can. is that for the yeast in it, i Heard that the alcohol just burns off anyway. I love fish and chips, sadly our local Skipper went out of business :(

  • @Bowfinger6383 How about non-alcohol beer? Should taste as good. Also okay to use bubbly (seltzer, club soda, etc.) water :-P

  • I'm back because I wanted to ask a stupid question. What do you do with all that oil after you're finished cooking? Can you re-use it?

  • Fry more fish & chips!

  • On Ask Aida, she said if you're not going to fry more f&c with it, other foods are going to taste like fish so, either take it to an oil recylcling place, or take the chunks out and reuse it for more f&c

  • Yes you can use it's a few times, good indication is when the oil goes brownish, that's after 4 or 5 times use. Realy no problem.I'm Danish but live in Belgium and they are THE chips experts :)

  • Hey thanks! Great video! 5 Stars.

  • great vid, thanks. nice channel concept too.

  • lol

99centchef: its like pancake batter only it'll get you high..LOLXD

  • I liked the way you served the fish and chips on newspaper we used to buy a bag of chips in the 70's and on the counter there would be sheets of yesterdays newspaper ready roll up your fish supper.

  • Every 99cent store I go to I can never seem to find that beer. None of the stores in the San Fernando Valley have ANY type of beers in stock?

Which one do you go to? I could sure use a 4 dollar 18 pack!

  • This recipe was made over a year ago...so no more beer lately :(

  • Yeah I was about to say. Was the beer any good? Two for 99 cents is a bit scarey.

  • Pabst Blue Ribbon is good enough for The 99 Cent Chef!

  • looks good!

  • the ketchup or whatever was so red lol

and wtf is with the news paper thats just unsanitary lol :P

  • peel the potatoes before you cut them

  • I like peels on my fries! :)

  • its his option and it taste better with the skin

  • its like pancake batter

except it will gewt you high!

  • did it really cost a dollar to do this recipe?

  • 99 cent ingredients, not a dollar total. The fish cost 99 cents a package.

  • ah ok gotcha

  • Looks DEELISH...xcept my mom would kill us both for eating off a "filthy newspaper"..LMAO:). I have saved this recipe though..it looks great..:)

  • epic

  • Thanks chef!
