When he drove down pit road and all those crew members high fived him when he drove to victory lane was emotional. That was enough to make grown men cry with joy
1998 was a good sports year for me. Dale Earnhardt finally won the 500 and my Atlanta Falcons actually went to the SuperBowl. Wasn't sure if either one of those things would have happened.
i think that mike joy is the most underated announcer in nascar. i also believe that they should put mike joy, larry mac, alan bestwick, and dw in a booth for all the races of the year on fox. jmo
FINALLY..fox is best.. those anouncers are so much more enjoyable, not to mention they run the best races.. and they shud run the brickyard on fox too
They do not retire numbers in NASCAR. I'm not sure who said they did but they do not. If they retired numbers, there wouldn't be a 43 still. In NASCAR the team owners basically have the rights to the numbers and Richard Childress can still put ANYBODY in the number three car and race it. Honestly, it would be too cliched to see Jr race the number 3. It would be amazing though to see that 3 car drove by another Earnhardt. Especially one named Dale! lol
I just never get tired of coming to this site and watching this clip.
Everyone has a dream, mine is to see Jr. run the "3" on hos car at this years daytona 500, and win it. that would be the ultimate tribute to Dale, then nascar officially retire the "3" forever.
Ya know... I have mixed feelings about Jr running the #3. While I think he should be the only one allowed to race it, I don't think anyone else should ever race the #3, including Jr. I think a lot of people are with me on this, but just a weird feeling I would get to see someone driving the famous, famous #3 car.
You know, I was thinking the same thing till I saw your comment? So now I just don't have an opinion on the situation. Just joking, don't get your undies in a knot.
It would have sucked if he ran out of fuel at that last lap on caution.

i think jr will race for RC cause out of all the race teams he is closest to them plus it would be awsome to see maybe if he races the 3

I sorry to report Jr heading to hendrick for the next 5 years.
ooklutz 4 years ago
i still have faith in him, i'd doubt he'd be any worse in hendrick.
taranchula97 4 years ago
Why would you be sorry?
If you were a real Jr. fan, why wouldn't you want him to join a winning team?

Jr. is his own driver now he is going to get out of is fathers company. It would be crasy if he drove for Hendrick M.
