  • HOw come when a black person samples it stealing but when white people do it it's creative?

  • @minusdululus

How on earth they fell on that Bollywood song I wonder, anyways, merci beaucoup, bonne continuation...:))

  • Black Eyed Peas did the same for their song 'dont funk with heart'..they sampled it from a Bollywood number 'yeh mera dil' from the film Don.

  • WOW - if its credited on the song credits then there is no problem (I hope its credited)

  • i dont think sampling is stealing. but please pay for what ever you sampled, because it was not original thought! maybe be skilled and technical like this, but with a (la) there would be no be (le)

  • If they paid for it, it's not stealing, otherwise it is.

  • It was not even sampled, they created a completely different melody out of it. It's like saying Mozart stole from Bach because he used chords before.

  • @dhhs91 I'm sorry, but I can't remember where I said that they stole something?

  • @minusdululus No, I was just reinforcing what you and others said. It's like they wrote the sheet music first and then used recordings instead of instruments to play it.

  • @dhhs91

Hey I thought if white people sample a song it isn't "stealing". Only black people like P. Diddy steal, white artists who use samples are just being "creative". ;)

  • @PancakeRecipes I kind of disagree, for me sampling and creating something new that works is being creative. I don't care about people skin color, and that fortunately, because music would be so boring without mixed pathes. You may be black, you may be white, you may be Jew or Gentile. It don't make a difference in our house.

  • @minusdululus ...and this is fresh!

  • @dhhs91 you're an idiot. this is obvious sampling.

  • @scragjake666 The melody is chopped, reversed and heavily modified. The only thing that can be called sampling here is the SOUND of the strings, not the melody.

  • @dhhs91 Even by chopping the sample and inverting the parts, there is still a melody. TA Da ta TA Da ta Ti la LA LAAA (et not just TA) ahah

  • It takes a lot of talent to get the idea of putting samples together that way, and this is what most people just don't get. Just think of The Prodigy, for example - could some of you guys imagine putting a whole hit together just by listening to a couple of songs that are all quite different from each other?

  • @quashky Hey Quashky. That's exactly the goal behind the videos I make. And bands like The Prodigy understood it (you saw the one about The Prodigy right?)

I wrote a little intro text to make it clear.

  • great sample. and yes i will admit it... the song is great haha

  • Bien joué :)

  • Merd a mie vou c est foolllee incredible from mexico RESPECT, N genie do edicion

  • What is the name of the actual song?

I believe Laxmikant Pyarelal did the music but he has hundreds of songs. Thanks!

  • that's genuis's work

  • Wow! Awesome!! :)

  • Cool! Creative video!!!

  • you are a genius!!

    greet

  • great job man :) f**** hilarious :)

  • hehehe, knew it was stolen ! :P

  • It was NOT STOLEN. It was sampled. Music producers do it ALL THE TIME. And I still have respect for Bloodshy & Avant. They are intelligent and explosive composers and ahead of their time.

  • To sample is to steal. How are they ahead of their time when they took a sample that is 30 years old????? The credit and monetary compensation should go to the original composer, right? Well, I'm sure you would agree if it was your work and music that was ripped.

  • @lazerz4eyez

You obviously don't compose music. There is a HUGE difference between sampling and stealing. Stealing is more like doing a "remake" or a "cover" of a song without permission. Sampling sounds is taking little portions of a song here and there; and when you put them in together you wont know where the hell they came from. Sampling a song that is 30 years old is WAY more obscure and accepted than sampling a song that was ... oh say 3 years old. So do your research cunt. =)

  • @ayuh8 So by taking samples from an original score that is 30 years old makes it not stealing? Those samples are not merely a portion of the song, they are the main hook for Toxic. Give credit where credit is due. minusdululus has brought our attention to that and get's props from me.

As far as calling people names, I'd like to see you do that to my face, tough guy over there on his 56k dialup talking smack, a direction this conversation didn't need to go.

  • @ayuh8 exactly, its innovation...

  • very nice find, bravo

  • That is awesome, I would love to see more of these....

  • brilliant, love your videos!

  • OMG! you are soo right!!

  • Bravo ! Clair net et précis !

  • awesome!!

  • Trop de la balle!

  • Clap clap! ;)
