Finding a quiet place in my mind has gotten harder and harder as I've gotten older. There are a million other things I should be doing, and it's important to remember that spending time to just *exist* without any distractions is a very good and important use of my time.
Great use of an "alternative" setting to drive home your lecture! This use of YouTube really helps keep the human contact in an on-line class. Very creative.
Its funny, a person searching for a career becomes a career counselor! Anyway, it sounds interesting, and you seem to have found a place of functioniing that works for you as a counselor. I think this could be something I could do.
Same here. People in my life have always seen me as a counselor; it's just my nature to listen and be supportive without telling someone what to do. I've spent most of my life wondering what to be when I grow up. Maybe this is where I belong after all. Best of luck to everyone in their search!
