Schools in Ireland have uniforms as well. My eldest brother went to an all boys high school while they built a mixed school nearby before I started high school. Both wore uniforms. One difference was that my school allowed boys long hair, forbidden in many all boy schools. Girls were allowed to wear trousers as well as skirts. What ever girls were allowed to wear so were the boys. I only remember some guys wearing skirts once though. No guy wore skirts to school every day.
When my high school was the way I described below, there was no violence or hostility there and the teachers were amazing. It was harmonious and, despite the few bullies, there were NO issues. After they made a strict dress code and banned everything(after I graduated), there are daily fights, 20% more drop outs, pregnancies, drugs, gangs, tons of disrespect and even the old teachers left. When you take away individuality, you crush the soul. Girls can wear pants and boy's shirts, can't they?

I have a feeling there is more to this story since the young turks are liberal, but to an extent they are right. A school is responsible for a childs education and safety first. But as I said I thinks there's a bit more to it and I think he may have been a distraction or may have been bullied, so they deemed it necessary to have him remove the clothes. But even then, it was, at the end result, wrong to have them make him remove his clothes.

I have a concurring opinion here.
I have a feeling there is more to this story since the young turks are liberal, but to an extent they are right. A school is responsible for a childs education and safety first. But as I said I thinks there's a bit more to it and I think he may have been a distraction or may have been bullied, so they deemed it necessary to have him remove the clothes. But even then, it was, at the end result, wrong to have them make him remove his clothes.

there were dress code in the first place... why just wear suitable stuff for school and that is it ! if we allow all what kids want, we may end up with half naked people, scary dressed one, see trough shirt, balls mold jeans... a circus ! kids are supposed to go to school to learn good stuff like geography, history, math, algebra, science, music, etc.... why discussing too much... that boy might have shocked some ...because we were used to have women in dresses and men in pants...

I wish it were safe to just go out crossdressed with out fear of gawking or sanctions.
