  • It's you "hyper organized" people who make new homeschool moms freaked out!

  • My daughter has ADHD and there is no way we could homeschool on a strict schedule like that. If we required her to stick to a constant rigid routine we would have never started our unique science project, Orla's Ark.

  • Don't say "To be a successful homeschooler, you MUST be committed and disciplined. You CAN'T just homeschool when you feel like it." It's HOME! There's freedom. You are sounding like you are setting up homeschool just like public school. You're at home. Things come up. Don't put homeschoolers in a box here...you'll make some homeschoolers feel like a failure if they can't keep a schedule. They'll learn. Read to them, explore. They will learn.

  • ihate being home schooled

  • Im so glad they invented onlineschool, It made me closer to my family and I just recently got a 2 mo. old puppy and it is HARD to take care of a puppy its exhausting and my mom couldnt do it on her own so it made it alot easier, and sometimes the puppy got through the gate out in our yard through the cracks and we need two people to watch it because of that and its just a life-changing process I can honestly say I recommend online school if you are in need of it. & Im in 8th grade right now. (:

  • Good vid. My parents tried a schedule, but fustration and me being sick all the time never worked. I was more unschooled than a schedule follow. College schedule following was never a problem for me though. I at least always made to my classes knowing what was required of me.

  • This is how I homeschool.

However, I have met many families who do very well doing it much different then this.

There are just so many other options when you homeschool. Once you get used to being your childrens teacher, you realize that there are so many ways to "teach" your child all throughout the entire day and in different places and experiences. Grocery shopping, chore time, when cooking, at the park and etc.

  • you don't need a timetable it's not a school, it's home and it's life and the kid can learn what they like.

Adults are always putting kids down and with my child i have always let her be her and she is self driven.

  • thats cool xXstarheartsXx! my mom just lets me do it myself... im not saying she doesnt help me because she does but its best just to let us do our own stuff
