Wow! This reminds you of Blind Melon?! I can't hear it myself... COC are awesome, Blind Melon are awesome too. Two totally different styles of rock, that's all. COC sound like a heavier Thin Lizzy, especially when they kick in with the twin lead... maybe not as much on this song, but definitely on Clean My Wounds and some others. 80s and 90s metal were equally great...each had its own sound...pretty boys of the 80s paved the way for grunge of the 90s... its simply the evolution of metal

COC...(in my opinion) has a sound that fits the 80s, 90s, and new millenium....i think they first emerged in early to mid 90s tho.

I have to disagree. Bands like Pantera, Alice In Chains, Clutch, Sepeltura, White Zombie and Korn really brought back metal in the mid 90's. The 80's was the terrible time for metal when Hair Bands ruled. Pantera in particular gave metal just the shot in the arm it needed. Just about all bands play in drop D tuning now. Great metal bands that exist now were influenced heavily by pantera. Trivium and Lamb of God, just to name a couple. I loved Metal bands that came out in the 90's.

Nah...In the 80s you had Metallica, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Testament, Slayer, Motorhead, Megadeth, Anthrax, etc.....I would say that it was the best decade for metal, unless the hair metal detracts from it....although Pantera still is my favorite metal band
