Still sounds like a professional sounding High School Band if you as me. Best band in the land is a MAJOR stretch. Not even close. I think UNA has a better band and i dont even go there. There just the college im closest to as of now. Troy has a better sound than MDB hands down. I went to the Alabama vs LSU game last season to see the MDB live and I was incredibly dissapointed. Just my opinion.

@mtj203 I Also have heard all three. Secondly Im a music Major at one of the Universities. I simply think UNA has better marching tech. around. Troy University has the best SOUND around. The MDB is just a hyped up weak band man thats really not that good. IN my opinion. There are good musicians at MDB they just dont work together well...

They have talented musicians but having a few hundred talented musicians who think they are all the shit, makes for a terrible band. JSU, UNA, and TROY are all greats because they work together. MDB is simply a over hyped high school band.

Weak?Laughable. Power is required when you're playing in front of 101,000+ every Saturday. Ask The Pride of the Southland how the MDB drowned them out at their own stadium last year...ask The Pride of the Sunshine about that whooping the MDB put on in the swamp. Fans from UF wrote the Tuscaloosa news complaining about how Basketcase drowned out 80,000+ singing "The Boys of Florida".
