  • Jimmy Page seems to flip the guitar solo of this music!

  • Great song, stones still rolling... :)

  • Keith Richards outlived Michael Jackson! Bet U never saw that coming!

  • @LadyReginaSmiles I guess Keith has a better Doctor.

  • @screwdigitaldish that and he's immortal

  • can you upload the song fight

  • last great RS number

  • The stones should have quit by this time.

  • @scvbtr2 yeah this is such a fucking embarrassment. guilty pleasure?

  • Great tune. Should've been a bigger hit.

  • great track, with simple and fantastic start

  • Wow. He sounds great with Keith and Ronny.

  • An amazing song, music, raw guitar, lyrics, vocals, the mix of a love affair with a lover and a drug. Great lines "Tore my defences apart, one round took me out of the game did me some permanent harm, it aint enough for me.....

  • the 0 ppl that disliked this ....wait wHAT !!/.?!

  • Happy 64th birthday Ron Wood...

  • Page and Plant wrote some good stuff but nowhere near the credentials of The Stones or Beatles.

  • who cares about page?this is the stones!sure he plays a good guitar but lets face it he had to rely on his guitar playing coz his song writing was shit.jimmy page is lucky to be honoured with having playd with the best band ever-the rolling stones.

  • @hollisbroon

I hate to say this but your comment is both ignorant and stupid. Back in the 1970's Page/Plant were voted best songwriters in the world over Jagger/Richards. That is a FACT!!! Look it up if you do not believe me. If Page's song-writing was shit (like you say), how come "Stairway to Heaven" is considered the Greatest SONG of all-time? That is a Page/Plant collaboration. Better written and more popular than any Rolling Stones song.

  • @lzzoso Actually "Like a Rolling Stone" is considered the greatest song of all time (though I tend to personally go for "A Day in the Life" more...). I agree that Plant and Page were a great songwriting team, but you can't overlook John Paul Jones's contributions to the Led Zeppelin sound. The Rolling Stones had some great stuff, but had really lost it by this point.

  • @hollisbroon You're right; the Stones are the best band ever. Unfortunately most idiots look at the Beatles as the best.

  • @Yellow4494 dont get me wrong the beatles have a certain charm but lets face it ,we all want to rock and roll.no one band sums up that phrase like the stones, thier chemistry is amazing

  • @hollisbroon Yeah I agree wholeheartedly. I like the Beatles too they're just no where near as great as the Stones in my opinion. They're too contrived.

  • @pistolpete111...I agree. I saw them in Toronto. Steele Wheels Tour. CNE stadium. It's now long gone...I came so close to just standing up - shake hands with Mic (he likes to dance) it was a long stage and used every bit of it. I am serious. Now, I was a little, how do I say this..."high at the time". Just being up that close made me freeze! We snuck into a section of seats. I was there earlier in the week for a Lionel Ritchie concert (free tickets). Same seats. It was so awesome...

  • I on the other hand think, this is the worst Stones album ever. Mick and Keef weren't best mates at that time and you can sure hear it...

I own this album for 15 years now and I think it has fount it's way to my player twico or three times at most...

I'm glad 80's ended, 90's for Stones meant their second birth for sure.

  • back when the stones still made decent music.

  • @rick4001cs stones continue doing decent music, their last album was very good

  • Brian Jones founded the Rolling Stones, with Mick Taylor the Rolling Stones had their greatest period, Ronnie Wood Helped to keep the band together. Thanks to these three memorable guys.

  • hey.. no more chats... 2012... 50years of rolling stones. They're the best

  • Great song.

    Love from greece

  • One of my favorite 80's Stones songs (Did they ever play this song live?)

  • @loudmusic67 ......yes, Steel Wheels tour in 1989. Saw it at Alpine Valley

  • @raiderbri Thanks, I saw them @ the Dome in Mpls. (They did not play this song, but I did hear they did play it sometimes. I sure wish they would have!!!

  • @loudmusic67 Played it on their Steel Wheels tour and their Voodoo Lounge tour in 1994 and in 2002.

  • the riff kinda reminds me of 'Rockin in the free world' of the great Neil Young

  • Oh, Hell yes! Thank you, cause my record is TRASHED!

  • trhis is just a great stones song

  • Got this on vinyl :))

  • Under rated classic, damn great riff!

  • Just one more hit in an incredible library of music.

  • great song

  • @pistolpete111 My favourite as well. I feel 'Dirty Work' is a bit overlooked because they didn't tour it.

  • @pistolpete111 Thank you for the reply. :) Never seen or heard a live performance of it. Would love to! I have the 'Biggest Bang' tour DvD box, 'Bridges To Babylon' live dvd, and 'Live At The Max 1989/1990', and unfortunatly the song isn't featured on any of them. Oh, how I wish they had toured 'Dirty Work'' Jagger once said: "I wanted to tour that album, but certain members in the band, were in no condition to tour."... :)

  • Even tougher than paint it black!

  • Love this song! Too bad they never toured 'Dirty Work'. Anyone know if they have ever done this song Live, like during the 'Steel Wheels/Urban Jungle' era?

  • wow, very tuff to find this one.thanx for posting, my favorite stones song.not a huge stones fan,but no denying that they were prime in the '80s great sound

  • I am not sure how many are aware of this but Jimmy Page is the one who plays the Great Guitar solo(s) in this song. Yes. Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin. I say solos because Jimmy plays a quick solo at the 2:27 - 2:41 mark and then at 3:25 - 3:43 mark at lastly at the 4:11 - 4:33 mark. The Great JIMMY PAGE offering his Guitar Services to the Good Ole' Rolling Stones.

  • @lzzoso yes but can you comment me back and tell me the name of the man who replaced him and when did he die RIP jimmy page

  • @bmpwarrior158

What the fuck? Jimmy Page ain't dead...

  • @lzzoso These moments you mention are my least favorite part of this underated song. They always seemed clumsy and showy to me. Not at all like the Stones. The riff, by Keith I'm sure, is one of their baddest, growling and fluid, mean, and just what the song is all about.

  • @lzzoso Is it in the liner notes? I have never heard that before?

  • @kanelitwiniec

I do not have this cd so I am not sure if it is in the liner notes. I do know for a fact that Jimmy Page does play the short solos I mentioned above. I am a huge Jimmy Page fan so I have read alot about him. Just listen to the short solos, they have Jimmy Page written all over them. I am sure you can find out for yourself if you google or do a little research.

  • @lzzoso I love this song . But never realised Page was in it. Makes me wonder why didn't Keith do the solos ? Were the Stones so much in termoil that they couldn't finish their own music ? Just curious.. Why Page in this song ?

  • @lzzoso thanks for the info,i love the song, now even more

  • one hit to the body:)
